MMA will win against Zenio. Last they met, MMA butchered him.
JYP, the worst TvP players against one of the best. Hmmm .. . . I wonder who will win.
Feast, a great PvP player, against Sangho (who has only won one PvP BoX series and has a 31 win rate in the matchup)
And then you have MC vs Violet. This one is a little closer, but despite Violet's phenomanal play, he is going up against on the deadliest protosses out there. TvZ has become incredibly difficult (like even more than it was pre-patch) and MMA hasn't had the same TvZ success outside of korea, so it's not certain that MMA will crush Zenio. I really hope that he will though. PuMa's TvP is decent but now that 1-1-1 doesn't really work that often I don't see him winning against JYP in bo5, even if JYP was kinda bad in PvT. Plus they are teammates so it's really hard to predict. Feast vs Sangho, pvp, anything can happen. JYP vs HerO HerO had a really bad winrate against protoss, but I liquidbetted him because I thought JYP was kinda bad despite his good PvP winrate, and well HerO won lol. HongUn had a 0% PvP winrate and 3-1ed MC who had like 90% at that time... winrates don't mean anything regarding koreans since they improve really fast. I agree on MC vs viOlet, MC got this Puma, the player with possibly the best Ghost control in TvP will absolutely crush JYP, a player who is struggling with the basics of PvT.
I agree with MC vs. viOlet. MC doesn't lose to zerg.
In Feast vs Sangho indeed everything can happen because Killers PvP is subpar. However, he is still korean...

If Feast is really mentored by Grubby then we can expect they worked together yesterday to create a game plan. That's what it takes to defeat a korean even when you have a good level you can't go blind. I would love to see Feast winning against him and I think he can. However I'm not sure he is ready to take the pressure yet and might crumble under it.
I hope he does well.

Like Polt MMA never relied on heavy ghost play in the lategame to win TvZs. The patches only affects a player like Thorzain who depends on a turtle style to win.
And despite 1-1-1 falling out of favor Puma is still consistently winning TvPs. JYP is not "kinda bad" in TvP either: he is bad enough that he consistently loses to Ganzi in BoXs and drops sets against foreign terrans all the time.
The likelihood of "randomness" affecting a PvP drops drastically as the games increases, and Killer was always subpar in the matchup. Then again a subpar matchup for a Korean player can be a very good matchup in the foreign scene.
HongUn won because he decided to do 4 gate, a style that everyone knew he hated and didn't see coming.
Violet vs MC is actually the least predictable as Violet can be extremely unorthodox.

You can't create game plans in PvP because except for a small minority of players everyone does everything in PvP. Preperation in terms of your enemy is a near total waste of time.

mma pwning nerds inc. sorry zenio.

Hope viOlet brings the hurt on mc tomorrow with his enjoyable zvp, Feast also should be able to win his match,

MMA and MC to win. Even if it's an MMA vs MC finals, I doubt MC is gonna have any easy time. MMA doesn't have any terrible TvP imo; decent or just above average. And MMA has always beaten MC in tourneys like GSTL and some other tourney from GomTV (even if it was a long time ago), so I think MMA might have an idea of how to beat MC.

Feast will take it.
One can hope.

MMA didn't really use Ghosts TvZ anyways. He just multitasks like a mad men and usually kills the Zerg before Hive can be established and then relentlessly drops the expansions when you tech up to Hive.
How you beat him TvZ is you Roach Baneling all in him. DRG did it a lot, Lucky did it to him a bunch etc. his style is really greedy and he likes to take a quick 3rd. It's a best of 5 so I think he can get cheesed out a couple of times but won't lose a standard game to Zenio. If you try to play a Macro game against him, even if you are Leenock or DRG you lose every time since you will fall apart against his style in the late game.

SlayersMMA will slay them all to add another title to his name.

Oh god... Feast is going to the finals isn't he?
I mean, he'll beat Killer in an "upset" then take down MC because MC will play too safe... and then get curbstomped by MMA in a terrible finals game T.T
Here's to Feast losing... because... as much as I want him to succeed... I really want IEM to have a finals that delivers.

Here's to Feast losing... because... as much as I want him to succeed... I really want IEM to have a finals that delivers. MMA's worst matchup is TvP. MC would be a much more difficult opponent.

I was implying that Feast would beat MC because MC's been playing a relatively passive PvP style in the past few days and that Feast would get cleanswept by MMA in the finals. An MMA vs MC finals would be a delight to watch.

I'm not against the artistic filter put on the pictures of the players. It's much better than what, I believe, IPL did for IPL2, which just looked creepy. Very nice to see some clean creativity in the presentation.

The last time it was pretty close versus MMA actually.

I believe Leenock has a losing record against MMA. He lost to him in GSL November Ro16, and 2-0 in the Blizzard Cup. He did 2-1 MMA at Providence though. It's not a winning record, but since it's MMA I guess it is still a good record
If MMA doesn't use ghosts, the only way the patch would affect him would be that he can't MULE on gold bases anymore. It could have an impact I guess, but a minimal one.

lol what good record? Leenock is 0-4 vs MMA in Korea. All of those games were played slightly before and after MLG Providence. The patch will only affect an option that MMA barely uses.
