The asian girl host on the LoL streams is even more awkward than everyone in the audience combined D: Good production quality though.

Foreigners are given Code S seeds because they're not going to live in Korea for 6 months just to "work their way up" to Code S. You've got a very small number of people (like HuK and IdrA) who are actually willing to uproot their lives and move to another country for a very long period of time.

If the GSL wants foreigners in their tournaments (which they obviously do), there has to be some incentive provided to people who don't live in Korea

Understandable, but tbh i'd like to see the same courtesy extended to korean's who distinguish themselves in foreign tournaments. Let's say a korean player has allready "uprooted" himself and moved to Europe or the US and having a lot of success in foreign tournaments, i think it's not a far reach to give them a seed in Code S, as long as the standards are somewhat comparable to placing high up in Code A.

Puma-MC again.

Battle of foreign tourney titans!!!

I think MC will take it, because of the state of the game, but Puma is one of those who I trust can overcome that. He also has the psych edge.

The only thing I'm predicting is a deciding game.

It would be better if they actually won the spots. For example GSL announces before a tournament that say the highest finishing non Code S player at IEM will win Code S. Much like they were doing with MLG.

I'm cool with that.

But I don't like how they are currently just arbitrarily picking players based on how many fans will buy a pass because of them.

That's pretty lame.

If what you say is true about the fan thing, I would definitely upgrade my ticket to Premium+ to see Stephano.

I searched through the raw VODs on twitch and here is what I could find: http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_event2/b/311111332

MMA vs PuMa starts at around 6:00:00 (since that seems to be the match that everyone wants to see )

Puma has done what in gsl vs other koreans?

Why does the name of the tournament matter?
He has a great record against top Koreans in big tournaments.
Has he even played in the actual tournament GSL apart from qualifiers?
Why count his skill based on non-existant matches?

Because GSL had preparation time, something we don't know I'd PuMa is good at. That said, he should've been invited to the Blizzard Cup for winning NASL2 instead of Polt. It wouldn't tested him in the "learn the shit out of your opponent" play style.

Polt was invited to the Blizzard Cup the same reason MMA was.

They were consistent and had been doing well in the GSL for the entire year of 2011 and had won various tournaments to prove it.

If Puma beats MC, he probably should get a spot, but who knows. It's definitely between Polt, Puma and Naniwa. If they want the two BEST players, it's Polt and Puma. If they want the viewers, then it's Naniwa and one of Polt/Puma.

I think if GOM wants mass viewership, Stephano would be a batter choice over Naniwa. Plus Stephano won more than Naniwa.

Depends if Stephano wants to go to Korea, which I don't know yet (does anyone know?)

Also, GO MC!

MC~

Stephano said on his stream a couple of days ago that he was thinking about going back to korea soon, but he wasn't completely sure. I really hope he gets a chance to play in the GSL if he does go back.

Personally I think Stephano can compete with any Korean toss and zerg. His zvt is pretty good 2. But it seems codeS terrans are a bit too much for him to deal with. Would like to see him play in GSL tho.

3rd place match will take place right away on the SC2 stream (9:20 CET), while the main stream shows the finals of each of the games at IEM. CS 1.6 then SC2 then LoL.
