PuMa would have lost if they lived seperately. Oh well, hopefully the finals between Min-chul and PuMa will be as epic as the first NASL with the long ass drawn out games. Hopefully it won't be PuMa 1-1-1 MC or MC 2 base all in PuMa type shit. Maybe one of each (MC 2 base once and PuMa 1-1-1 once) to keep things interesting. Excited to see what PuMa and MC have in store for each other. Show nested quote +On March 10 2012 01:33 vthree wrote: Interesting. If MC wins, he will take back his #1 earnings title from MVP. Here's to hoping MC vs Puma part 3 is an epic one, but if Puma only barely beat JYP and no 1-1-1 to fall back on I don't think he stands a chance against MC this time around.
Maybe he did not show us his best play against JYP because he wanted to save sth for MC.

a farce? that there is some actual competition instead of inviting or letting koreans "qualify" i mean cmon as if they are not gunna win the qualifiers u may as well invite them. just dont invite them it will be much close. who wants to cheer on koreans? i personaly want to cheer for westerners im not racisit. i just think gsl is great the koreans can vs other koreans and its even and intresting. and if foreingers wanna waste their time going to korea and trying to compete in gsl let them go ill cheer for them. but this is just annoying must be just me

Iirc most of Puma's matches against MC were just 1/1/1, so, I hope this time he's gonna play standard (but I want MC to win) You might be thinking about IEM Cologne. NASL S1 finals were some of the most impressive games of TvP I had seen. Puma and MC both played amazingly. Yes, but it was still the GOMTvT era, where all you needed to do to get seeded in next season's codeS was to go 1W-2L in the RO32, which lead to tons of crappy players (asd, Virus, Ensare was the trinity of disgrace in particular) to stay in codeS for ages just by cheesing P and Z players, which lead to the developement of various different builds ( (1/1/1, 2port banshee, bitbybit) very hard to stop if you aren't in a mirror. Now that the 1/1/1 era is over he probably won't be able to lay hands on MC. So many ridiculous things in one post. Virus and Asd are both good and not particularly cheesy player. Virus almost beat Nestea when Nestea was at his peak in a macro series. You are absolutely clueless and have been shitting on Puma all week with your inane and barely coherant (how can English be your first language?) ramblings. Meanwhile Puma is busy not giving the slightest crap what you think and beating everyone he's played, going 5-0 in the hardest group in the tournament and taking out MMA, the best Terran in the world, in a best of five. Now he's helped himself to $15,000 and come tomorrow afternoon it might be more. You do not win $119,000 from Starcraft 2 if you're a bad player. Puma is overrated.
Mostly I see Puma getting called overrated and highly critised at the start of every tournament he plays in, and then 2-3 days later he's in the finals as usual. If anything he's underrated.

MC got back # 2 by winning Home Story. Sc2earnings.com has all the big tournaments covered.

It takes pretty big fucking balls to cannon rush with so much on the line. Foreigners could learn a lot from the value of cheese. I completly dissagree that it takes big fucking balls. He was one game up and obv. knew how broken that mineral line was when doing such a rush (said so in the interview). Furthermore, i dont skip work to watch 2min games that are abusive. As i said a win is a win, but i hate such games and i think him recieving a point in the bo5 is enough, he shoudnt be rewarded or praised for it in any other way. Agreed. It's not like we don't know about MC's cheesiness. MC's fans are some of the most obnoxious posters (only lose to Idra's). That's why I don't watch MC's games any more.
I didn't know that Puma beat MMA? Wow. When do they rerun the vod? I missed the whole thing.

Puma has done what in gsl vs other koreans?

LOL "I'm not racist, I just want people of their skin color to stay away from people of other skin colors". Nice one man. Last time I checked Koreans are also humans, they happen to have a different culture and skin color and that's about it. They win because of their work ethic. Watching mid-tier foreigners is not remotely interesting Starcraft, what would kill esports is having poor competition. No offense to them but something like a Darkforce v Elfi finals wouldn't have been particularly mindblowing.
|
Then you might as well call the tournament IEM championship for white dudes. And many of the foreigners were quite competitive. Obviously, there is a skill gap but you should cheer on the foreigners and encourage them instead of just not inviting Koreans. And both PuMa and MC actually represent foreign teams.

PuMa shocks, when he is not supposed to win, at the same time MMA blows, when hes the huge favorite with like 90%+ votes.
Bottom line, MMA is the best TvZ, but not more.
He lost to aLive, PuMa and most of the times Polt, means his TvT is just Top 5, while against Protoss he still has a lot of work to do.
Not the Bonjwa people make him, but certainly a great player nonetheless.
|
Ok guys, is it just me or is MMA's TvT absolute shit? He always does so well when I see him play, but if a TvT comes up, I don't get it, he just gets DEMOLISHED... its like watching a different person play.
|
its not my fault the koreans are far more skilled? im racist because of this? ok mate. im not against koreans i just want them to not come stomp face in every comp its just predictable. and LOL oh wow they play for foreign teams does that change the fact that they live and train in korea? and are clearly way more skilled then all the foreingers? good point...

Why does the name of the tournament matter? He has a great record against top Koreans in big tournaments. Has he even played in the actual tournament GSL apart from qualifiers? Why count his skill based on non-existant matches?

And no one is making him out to be a bonjwa, just the second best player in the world at minimum.
Oh and his TvP is still 61%. Just saying.

Damn such good storylines for tomorrow, didn't expect it to end like this. MC vs Puma rematch, can MC finally overcome? And Feast has been calling out MMA from the start, now they face off for 3rd place, I can't wait :D.

People bitching about koreans for winning......are you for real?
|
Yes, there were Korean invites for the other stops like Kiev and Sao Paulo. BUt you also had American qualifiers, European. They could have held Korean qualifiers but regardless, you would have had Koreans at those tournaments and the Koreans then qualified over the foreigners by placing well.
Imagine if they just had global qualifiers, you would probably see even less foreigners make it to the championship.
