how nice of them to put 4 koreans together in top 16. was this even randomized? or did Mr. Bitter pick them?

As usual people who got first in their group will meet people who got second in the round of 16. Then it's randomly drawn.

Considering that there were 4 Koreans in 1st place and 4 Koreans in 2nd it isn't really unlikely that there are two only Korean matches.

Also there's no need to be a dick about it and throw out random accusations because you don't like the bracket.

6 month ago, ok, Huk, maybe Idra or Naniwa had his word to say. But today? There's no real top foreigner in Korea.

Two things are true of 2012's first GSL

1. Almost all of it has been amazing.

2. Foreigners have been crushed into powder and blown away on the wind (with the exception of Sen).

Sen lost badly in the second match too

But his point is that the very top foreigners - like Stephano - aren't playing in the GSL.

Last time we saw Stephano in GSL he got clowned, though. I'm long past saying 'ah, but if only x player was there we would see foreigner strength!'

Personally, I think that the nature of GSL - it being over a long period and having a format where players can prepare for each other well in advance - is crushing for foreigners because they're just not used to the pace and don't know how to take proper advantage of the format's foibles. There's plenty of times we've seen foreigners look amazing at MLG, often beating multiple Koreans, only to get destroyed instantly in Korea.

I mean, you have to remember the ongoing joke about Naniwa winning at MLG and then losing in the first round of Code A... four times in a row wasn't it?
I'm not bad at Starcraft; I just think winning's rude.

Sorry but when exactly was Stephano in GSL ? Or you meant Blizz cup, where he went 2-2 with top Koreans? I wouldnt call that "got clowned" as he played the best result from foreigners!

What's Stephano's track record in the GSL? I can't find it anywhere.

im pretty sure 90% of code a/s players would like to be clowned that way.

I gotta say, the foreigners got pretty lucky with this Ro16 draw which distributed a few of the stronger (Korean) players against one another.

Sadly, the best TvP player in the world ( or second best perhaps.. MKP is kind good atm in TvP ) is still losing a lot in this match up.

Puma is pretty good in TvP

Against foreigners though :/

Granted he hasn't made it to GSL, he does good in TvP against Koreans too

Wrong. He went 2-2-, beating DRG and Hero and losing to MC and IMMVP.
