Back to the HuK case: Mutas are not the problem, the problem is the map. Sorry if that wasn't clear in my initial post.

Probably just a hater. If you are a fan of another team, it is silly to be against foreigners in the GSL. Keep the competitiveness for foreign tournaments.

I can already see it: *Sen wins* "OMG foreigners fighting USA USA" *idra and Huk lose* I have to say the thing I enjoy most of reading LR thread after the fact is when foreigners lose and some kids get their dreams crushed

as much as i hate seeing Huk and Idra lose, the better player won in their series. it amazes me people still blame race imbalance and maps at these levels (not your post, but the general tone of what's going on in the LR). if you replaced the foreigners w/ Nestea and MC, they just wouldn't lose here. attributing losses to external factors is the worst way to improve. hope EG practices more and that's really all there is to it. at least sen was able to show a foreigner can compete at code-A level!

Anyway, the korean player who would replace those seeds isn't going to win the GSL anyway. Also, I'm glad Idra lost. Sad that Huk did.

There's nothing "hater" about wanting someone to earn their spots instead of being seeded in and thus being pleased when they lose.

He was just helped by the Code S bottleneck for the longest fucking time. As a comparison, other GSL-level Protoss players and their records in Korea: Squirtle: 61.05% (A) MC: 60.69% (S) *Parting: 59.09% (S) Puzzle: 58.78% (S) *Brown: 57.14% (S-->A) Oz: 54.41% (S) InCa: 53.76% (S-->A) Genius: 52.94% (S) JYP: 51.09% (S-->A) Alicia: 49.18% (A) Killer: 49.07% (A) *Seed: 47.37% (A) Tassadar: 47.01% (A) cOre: 46.55% (A-->B) HuK: 45.21% (A-->B) Ace: 39.71% (A) *Avenge: 37.50% (A) HerO: 36.59% (A) *Lure: 0% (A-->B) Look at how many of those we like to make fun of and tell me seriously that HuK's better than them. Stars indicate those without significant amount of games played. I'm really surprised at Squirtle's win%, actually; I know he's only just recently made it back to Code A, but even so, as someone who's commonly played in teamleagues and participates against (at the very least) other Code A level players in the Weekly and such, that's pretty ... surprising. Squirtle is one of the few non-Code S players who is Code S level based on skill alone. You can make the same argument for Creator, TheStC, Polt and possibly Losira.

First game HuK won, second game was Crossfire with mutalisks -.-, and final game he lost to a weird cheese. Would practice really make that much of a difference?

I watched all four VODs from the main stream first and had to mute computer then jump forward nutil they'd stopped talking about a game I hadn't watched yet. I could pretty much guess Fin was going to advanc but chucking in a bit of a replay between stc and Losira I was like, aaaaargh, go away. Anyway, HuK AND IdrA out, wow. IdrA had already talked himself in to a loss before the games it seems while I just cannot understand HuK picking Belshir Beach for the final game, fantastic and probably improvised build Terious to knock him out. Sen played very well except for his brain fart all in and of the three the only one deserving to advance.
