You can't go onto any thread about him without reading these things. Sorry for double post. >.> Every player has fans that says this, the problem is that Idra has a god damn horde of them all spewing out stuff like that. That's why so many people find the Idra hype to be so annoying, cause there's a lot of it. I personally don't think Idra has earned that hype in a long time which makes me hate it even more.

I really think there are a few foreigners, who would have a shot at Code A, maybe even Code S, just to throw some names into the room: Nerchio, Stephano, Kas, Thorzain, but even if they would play there, there is no need to cheer just for them, because there foreigners. Who cares if player XY comes from Europe, North America, Korea, or anywhere else? Why judge on Nationality and not on skill? Thanks for agreeing. :D Back in WC3, all of the general semi-pros that I hung out with (along with the casuals too of course) always wanted the favorite player to win, and not the "foreigner vs korean" thing. Nobody cared that european teams were filled with "korean/chinese mercenaries", or anything like that. People just wanted the player to win. For me, even in SC2, I'll always root for the former members of WeRRa, Team Prime, and any old WC3 "foreigners" because I happen to be huge fans of WC3 players in general. But, I've come to like a lot of Starcraft/Starcraft 2 "specific" players, but because of their nationality, but because of their playstyle. Watching aggressive/timing attack based players is always fun...and yes, this pretty much describes MC. I may be partly an MC fanboy, but honestly, people underestimate him at times because of that image he got during his slump when he had no time to practice. He's winning games now at high levels again, and still barely gets recognition. He can obviously macro and micro, but people probably dislike his 2-base centric playstyle, cause they believe that all SC2 games should be 2 hours long with the whole map taken. :/ Cliff notes: Player Skill/Personality > Player Nationality.

Nothing more to add, I don't give a flying fuck if someone is from X or Y, I just judge the overall skill level and decision making. I really don't understand this whole hype thing about foreigners...

Because this game would be nothing without emotional investment, and the players personality and nationality is a big part of that for many people. Its the same for any sport imaginable.

Right and you can not compare. Mc was dominating Leenock while Nani can not even hold off a cheese from Leenock. Mc was the best gsl toss in 2011 and was called the best toss by top korean players like Parting and Oz. Why did you even try to compare? It is not even close.

I wish people in here would stop criticizing and saying these players are awful. I mean when you are in gold and trying to tell someone who is above the top 1% of players how to play or what they should do I think you need to sit and think about what you are saying.

Well in HuKs case he admitted to barely practicing at all in the last month and tried to grind out a ton of practice right before his match.

US has the weakest pool of players (including US/EU/KR/CN). And even among those idra is not the cream of the crop.
