Not surprised that Huk lost after taking a 1,5 month 'vacation/break'. Just shows you have to keep on practicing.
Was really hoping idra could show something better after training in the SlayerS house for this long now though...

Not a great day for foreigners overall but at least Sen won.

My liquidbets were spot on with the exception of Huk and Idra. A poor day for foreigners but I hope to see Sen doing well.

Naniwa, Stephano or Kas would probably have better chances in the GSL than Huk or Idra.

Anyway, before the year is out Vile Illusion is going to give foreigners some hope again. That kid has sick potential.

Naniwa is sick good, but he's said several times that he thinks Huk is a better protoss than MC and presumably even himself.

Do you actually believe that Huk is better than MC?

No, but Naniwa thinks higher of huks play than his own at the moment.

One difference between Mc and these two in pvz.
On a map like bel shir beach, Mc may not be able to hold that cheese, but I am pretty sure he would scout it out and trys his best to hold. On the other hand when u r watching Nani and huk playing, there is a chance they just did not try hard to scout at all. Do not understand why...

I don't think his vacation is the reason. He's just overrated in the SC2 community. If you look closely at the tournaments he won, the most important matches were PvP's.
I doubt his win rate is above 50% vs good players in the past 6 months. Same story with IdrA.

Nice. I like the results. Terran's getting knocked out is always a great thing. Not really sad about the foreigners since I didn't think they would win anyway. Also, good for Sen moving on. He's the only foreigner I thought that had a chance at advancing. Also, I wish corePrime advanced cause I want the Prime team to do well

Finally, about the whole Naniwa/Huk/MC thing, I really think that's a joke. MC is obviously better than these two....and I think that people are really still stuck on MC's whole image during his slump. Huk is going on a "slump" too because he's doing the same thing that MC did....flying everywhere to play in tournaments and not enough quality practice time. Finally, Naniwa is good, and I may be interpreting what is being said wrong, but for him to say that Huk/himself are better than MC is a joke as well. He can't even break through Code A :/

I've heard hints from various sources that Huk has been having issues with practice recently, does anyone have the full story?

Naniwa beat MC 2-1 at HSC4. He's better between them.

If you want to pick random results, MC also went 0-4 map score in AoL, and then 1-3 in AoL Team Ace Invite. 1-7 in total, he's terriblem right?

I think this Code A is really overrated .... A lot of foreigners would win both matches easy 2-0. Idra and Huk just played really bad, especially Idra. There was absolutely nothing special about those two koreans ... Losira played really bad too. It is all because of Idra and Huk are not at their best at all. There are many way better guys in EU and NA.

Well, as another random statistic, PvP is sort of a lame matchup and MC seems to have a PvP weakness. I look at overall achievements anyway, and as biased as this sounds, winning in the GSL is a bigger achievement then anything else. The foreigners are so "good", but they can't even make it past the first round of Code A (except Sen at this point)....

I dont want to upset anyone, but i think Idra is super overrated.
Sure, he was once a top notch player, but at the moment he has just disappointing games.
He is not Code S Level, he is not the best foreigner, he isn't even the best US-Zerg anymore...
Why does he still get hyped soo much?
Is it because of the bad-boy image?

Every foreigner gets smashed in the first round of Code A, and occasionally advances at least one more time before getting eliminated. Why do you feel Code A is overrated? Because your favorite players can't win in them?

People have been saying this for over a year. But every time a new foreigner comes to Korean, he got slaughtered. Then people say similar comment about another new foreigner again.

This is a statistic that is basically taken of MC during his "slump" when he didn't have time to practice. He's in Code S now and winning....so why does this matter?
