They should have planned to start with Kas vs. CatZ as soon as they knew Stephano reached the SCAN final. Are you saying organizers should foresee circumstances that the players themselves should take care of? gimme a freaking break will ya..

There should be a thread in the general section about this thing. A lot of people should be informed about what ONOG did so they never support / watch it again.

Correct decision by the tournament organisers I think, giving the third place winner a chance in the final. Its correct for him to be penalised for not playing it out, he agreed to play in the tournament and knew the format and time slots. I suppose they could have organised it at a more EU-friendly time but I thought gamers would be used to being up all night :p

Not other professional sport forces the players to play at 3:00am in the morning. Also Stephano just posted on twitter: "I dont understand why people can get mad cuz i gave up for onog, even if i had played the game would have been awful."

Damn that's a terrible thing to say as a commentator...Was it from MrBitter or some random ONOG commentator ? It doesn't make it excusable, but it would be less surprising from an amateur caster. edit : oh you already answered two posts above.

I sort of remember who it might be from a Tweet from MrBitter, but the casting pairs might have changed since then if there was more than one set of casters so I'm not too sure.

Whatever qualm you have should be with the tournament, not with players. Illusion shouldn't be penalized because of this stupid complicated mess that's been created.

It was not like they told him last minute "hey, you have to play at 2 am!". I'm not sure if Onog handled the situation well though. The rules regarding forfeiting and it's concequences should be stated prior the tournament and kept. In this case I still think Stephano deserves his 2nd spot prizemoney.
