To be fair MC has always been known for timing attacks, it used to be 1-base. Now it's strong 2-base, which hopefully will give him more versatility and stability. Nothing wrong with this, but like a few months ago, once people start to figure it out, it starts to be more gimmicky then stable.

PVT: Get 1-1-1d 90% of the games or have an advantage in the lategame. So fucking onedimensional matchups atm. Protoss matchup have been terrible (from a gameplay perspective, not balance) since the beggining of sc2. I really feel like thte core mechanics of this race are flawed. You can't blame MC for doing whatever makes him win, but from a spectator perspective these games are horrible.

Going 54 drones is preparing for a 2 base timing, going for 75 drones or something rediculous FAST means you are a greedy duck that has a large opening for attacks. 3 base isn't greedy, saturating that third before making a lot of units is.

Making units and attacking instead of making workers put you behind. Thanks for the great analysis.

except no. Put almost all other player in that situation and they wouldn't beat DRG

You either have to do a timing attack before 15 minutes or go stargate or you have a very little chance of winning. Shows how much PvZ has "evolved" right? Around a year ago Zergs were crying an ocean's worth of tears over Protoss imba.

You just need to have extremely good map awareness and micro to pull it off.

People dont realize that as protoss, if you dont do some sort of early timing, and let the zerg build up his muta ball.. well, lets just say the same thing in Game 1 happens.

2 - 1 Calm Before the Storm Crossfire SE 1.1 4.00 DRG spawns in the bottom left position, MC in the bottom right. DRG goes for a hatch first at his front expansion, MC goes for a NExus first in the pocket expansion.

Z v P was 31-15. Still a long way to go in terms of match-ups.
