You are still under the asumption E-sport events start on time ? let alone finish at time ? haha come on, even for eastcoast these times are not for every one.

I dont understand people who are trying to compare GSL with NASL finals, that America has to wake up 4-5 AM etc.
GSL is a monthly event, they have started the same time every single season past 5 months at least, people are aware of it. And thats the way GSL have choosen to scheulde their events.
NASL is on their second season, their groupstages takes months to clear up, so this is more or less a "one time event" or "event on rare occansions" like Homestory Cup etc. If they want to make the maximal benifits they should have taken EU under consideration aswell when it comes to scheulde.
But again, peoples "overall" feeling about NASL is far from good, so its not like a suprise they scheulde the grand final on such a stupid time.

That said, NASL up to this point has catered to Europeans, with their rebroadcasts and otherwise good start times. This time isn't even optimal for Americans as others have said. This is a bad decision by NASL and they are going to lose a big chunk of viewers for their grand final for little reason. Well when do u think it's on in EU? U still can't have school or a job to watch it live over here. I wonder if they could've chosen a worse time for the finals. It's not even a good time for all american timezones on a sunday.

LOL all these euro boys and girls complaining about the times...welcome to the world kids, where nothing is fair, and things don't have to go your way all the time. seriously, GSL starts at 4am, do you see any NA people complaining? no. so shut the fuck up and deal with it

It is the NASL's problem though, they're not even breaking 50k viewers.

German here. GSL starts at 10 or 11 am in Germany (speaking of Code S, group stages) and lasts until 2 pm at worst. Watched the Nasl Ro8 and Semi-1 yesterday, started 9 or 10 pm i believe, first semi final ended around 4:30 am, maybe earlier. That's bs, considering it's weekend ( well i had nothing to do this weekend so np). Can't watch the grandfinals. This tourney is simply unwatchable for the majority of the fans i believe. Could've been better, but they didn't learn a thing from last season..

They should, but not as priority. First comes the players, live crowd, and staff. Then comes the other timezones. PST will make it difficult for Europe no matter what. Its just how the world works. I think they could have started about 2 hours sooner, but that's still shit times for europe.

Majority of the fans? It's the North American Star League, so I'm sure "most" of the fans are in the US watching at no more than 3 hours ahead of local time in California.

Yeah because if tournaments are named after a region they obviously dont give a fuck about other region fans , lol great argument.

Yea, its the NASL so they have every right to schedule it when they did... still doesn't change the fact that it was a dumb fucking decision. For a league thats barely staying afloat, alienating a significant portion of the audience on the event's final day is incredibly stupid and detrimental to the league's success overall.
So yea, maybe if people complain they can fix it for next season and enjoy larger viewer numbers. Or people can stay silent and the NASL repeats the same mistake next year right? Seriously it\s not like everyone here wants the NASL to fail, but they will if they continue making blunders like this and staying silent won't help anyone.

They don't have to change their entire schedule just to accomodate 1 time zone but some small changes would give them a lot more EU viewers.

Yea, sorry this is the "North American Star Leauge". Thats why there is 2 American players, and 1 from Canada (HuK not counted because he lives in Korea) in the Playoffs. Out of 16 players.
