Same drill as usual: - No caster bashing.
- Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
- In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys. |

It's probably to do with one of those being an EU qualifier with a first place prize of $10k while the other is a major international tournament with a first place prize of $40k lol.

So a bigger prize pool, and no koreans (which NASL had no control over) should be shunned harder?

Yeah =( I think they could've put the Europeans earlier in the schedule

Not the most impressive card...

First major Sc2 tourney I wont be watching at all. I don't see why MLG and IPL can have schedules that don't totally fuck over EU viewers.
|
Well EU tournaments are hardly ideal for NA's; not west coast at least.

Pretty amazing lineup.
Haven't been able to watch as much NASL this year, because of school, but I am looking forward to the finals.

Some great games. I think Puma is going to win this. Soon 2 times NASL champion.

No but at least they try, see DH starting at 9am.
NASL just hasn't bothered?

I saw plenty of people say similar things before the latest dreamhack. I fail to see how this is a NASL issue.
I also fail to understand why you are getting so upset. It was basically a sentiment of "Oh well it's not the best lineup but it might be good anyways." It's not really rage worthy.

Ret/ThorZain/NaNiWa/DIMAGA are like 3 levels above TT1/HwangSin/HasuObs/DeMusliM. So the EU BNet Invite had a way better playerpool than this tourney.

One thing I hope they learned this time around is not to have that god awfully long season review of each player at the start of every series -_-
Not only was it annoying but also kind of sad to see all that and then have one of the players swiftly get 2-0'd....

no, it's probably because a bigger prize pool invokes higher expectations.

I haven't watched the normal season at all but I will be checking this out, great player pool despite their being no Koreans. I also like the start time as a European as I have time to get home from work and changed. 2AM on Sunday is a little late but I have plenty of Holiday to use before January Though I do wish Idra and DeMuslim were earlier Tonight, its not horrific.

What quality is the free stream? If it's like during the season it is gg for me.

Why are you overreacting? I said the same about many other tourneys and i didn't enjoy the early stages of dreamhack due to the sloppy games.

It's just a bit unfortunate, that's all. They are starting at a fairly decent time, but doing HoN at the best time for Europe to watch. Will be good to see Hero and Huk though, so all is not lost!

I don't mind the times personally - because I lack a life presently and can sit up and watch.
What I dislike though is that their VODs need a season ticket. Such a scumbag move to europeans, who are a big part of the viewerbase.
