A Bo3 can easily last an hour, and they expect to get EVERY BO5 in under 75 min? That's absurd. I won't be surprised to see this go an extra 3 hours at least. Especially if a lot of them go 5 games with lots of macro games. Hopefully for NASL's sake there are a lot of short games to offset the macro games. Definitely agree. They must be banking on a lot of 3-0s or cheese to keep it on schedule. I wouldn't be surprised is there is a TvT series that take over 2.30. If that happens they are going to be over an hour behind schedule.

I actually been researching the length of bo3 heavily recently. Based on my collection of data (to be put together in a proper blog in future), typical broadcasted bo3 averages 40 minutes in length, with standard deviation of 12 minutes (strangely, regardless of whether it's a 2-game or 3-game set). This means you can expect over 95% of bo3 to end by 1 hr and 4 minute mark. I have not researched bo5 lengths yet. What this bracket has going for it is it starting with two sets of PvPs, which averages 10 minutes shorter than other matchups. Therefore, excluding technical troubles, I expect the first day to end no later than a hour past schedule. They missed a great opportunity to shave schedule time by scheduling their PvPs later in the day, and ht TvTs earlier. That way, if a matchup ran pass its slot, the PvPs should help the broadcast catch up to the planned schedule.

Didn't follow NASL at all during the regular season but i think the grand finals is gonna be a good one! Why do I keep seeing shit like this? There were no people in the EU battlenet invitational threads saying "Well, I would watch this, but the players are fucking awful scrubby foreigners.... so eh...." Seems to only happen to NASL...

I think that was rather mild compared to the inevitable "wheres the koreans? this tourney doesn't count if no gsl winners in it" post or two that come up during other koreanless tourney's.
