A weird intro for each player that seemed like a boxer entering the arena mixed with a red carpet feeling and about 4-7 fans around the red carpet in a massive empty room. Was the quality messing up what i was seeing or did it happen that way? Seemed so try-hard and a big failure.

Good games, good casting, good production, awesome red carpet. They really did a good job and now I feel bad for not supporting them enough ![]() I'm not sure what tournament you are watching, but I went to bed during sen vs TT1. Up to that point hasu vs. huk had been great, Hero vs Hwangsin had turned into showboating, Brat_OK vs. Dimaga was just terrible and Sen vs TT1 was shaping up to be another onesided faceroll. Casting was weird and had no synergy until BitterDam came on stage, the production consisted of 1950's splash screens, interviews in the dark, motion sickness from zooming in and out, there's gamma/color issues on the stream and the sound is just terrible (both out of sync and terribly mixed). The red carpet could've been great with an actual crowd. Did it actually get any better after I went to bed? Ofcourse, in the end all that matters are the games and s1 was saved by the final series. It could happen again, but that wouldn't be to NASL's credits (or at least not to the way they set up their big finals event). I paid for a s1 pass, and felt it wasn't worth it, and I'm not even considering spending 10 USD on this. The money isn't the issue, 10 USD is nothing for a weekend of entertainment, it's just that you actually have to improve between events. I have bought every single GSL season, and have an MLG pass for that exact reason.

Well they lose a huge part of their viewership and get less sponsor exposure, I dont know if its worth it over membership sales. Also it doesnt seem fair for americans to be able to see it for free while we have to either stay up until morning or pay to watch it. I wont support them if they want to do it like this, they have to step up to the competition or vanish the way i see it.

Thats what i mean, its NASLs problem, if they dont want euro viewers its their loss.

I stay up all night past 6AM pretty regularly to watch it because I don't want to pay for vods. If NASL wants to forgo the pay model over the weekend, that's their choice, but nobody should blame them not doing so especially after they decreased the price 15 dollars. Yesterday was pretty fantastic overall and anyone complaining about the production is nitpicking. The players were great, the casting was great, the games were great, some upsets were had. Fantastic tournament so far. Sorry the tournament is ran at an inconvenient time for you guys. You're missing out. GSL has the production value and consistent quality in everything they do to warrant subscriptions. NASL doesnt.

It's the North American Star League in North America. It'd be like me bitching that the GSL is broadcast only at 4am here in America. They're in a different country. Either pay for the VODs or don't, but don't start about "fair" or "unfair" when they have a VOD service you can pay for. Maybe you'd have a point if there were no VODs at all, but they do. Whether or not you find them worth the investment is immaterial.

I didnt watch any of NASL season 2 as of now because of their poor decision making and if thats how they want it to be who am i to make them change their decision, its their loss not ours, just like it is GSL´s loss that they dont rebroadcast for other countries. I have a feeling though that the 2k viewers during the regular season is not what they had in mind when they started all this Bad pricing models were the end for many other companies, NASL isnt the first one to fail at realizing it in time (changing their prices is evidence that they atleast understood that they DO have to change something, they just managed to completely miss the goal)

Although the crowd there is kinda terrible. If I was anywhere remotely close I wouldn't hesitate to go, even if NASL doesn't have the same hype factor as MLG.
