Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

I am so freaking happy for Leenock.

That kid couldn't just catch a break in GSL for a long time. Getting to up and down matches and facing top GSL players every single time. Getting knocked down to code A and at some point even getting knocked out of code A.

And now his da fakking man!

HUGE GZ LEENOCK!!!!!!!

Someone make a documentary how the little chubby zerg got the worst possible draws in GSL, got knocked down over and over again by the big boys, then came to the biggest MLG of them all and just crushed his way through the tournament!

And the fact that he beat Nani which I just have a hard time watching and liking... epic!

Leenock FIGHTING!!!!!

Leenock has always had potential. His play has always been brilliant, but there have been some serious flaws that cost him games. I haven't seen any of that so far in GSL November, and nobody found any flaws in his games at MLG either.

Looking at who he had to beat to get here, it's just extremely impressive, he is my favourite for GSL November as well!

I have been supporting my little fat boy ever since open season two when he 6 pooled Nada, and I followed his road to Code S...........and man was that a hard road. I mean he is simply the unluckiest player out there, remember the ups and downs group with MKP and Nestea? MAN, that was heartbreaking. Yet unlike most early Code S players who fell out, he crawled his way back, showing AMAZING plays on his way.

Look at where he is right now? I'm so fucking proud for being a fan for so damn long.

TL;DR: I liked leenock before it was cool :D

As much as an MVP fan as I am, and as disappointed as I was when Leenock knocked him out, I can't help but still feel happy for Leenock because he's such a likable kid who has had a run of such horrific bad luck that it's nice to see all those setbacks finally pay off with the most prestigious win you can get outside of Code S and a fat check to boot. WP Leenock.

Haha, I will never forget those games. A good friend of mine and I who both follow the scene fairly closely still make "follow your heart" jokes in reference to it.

This talent vs training thing is old. Training is the most important, but talent will give you a slight edge. It's just like studying at school, some dudes don't even need to study and still get A quite easily, some others study really hard to get A.

but that's just an extreme simplyfication. The same guys that hardly have to learn are always the ones that participate the most in classes and often times know things about the school topics before they are being taught. So imo it is always purely a result of learnings, even though some education (parenting, attitudes like diligence...) clearly give a person advanteges that another person might never be able to catch up to. - which people then call "talent", while it is simply a result of learnings

This is behaviourism and in this pure form it's been given up on long ago. Genetics play a large role, both in shaping your personality and things like your IQ.

Nope, tabula rasa.

no... leenock and nani never played before the final.

they divided the final up into two bo3s, mlg being a double elimination tourney... if nani won the first, he would just win, being from the winner's bracket. he did not, so they went to a bo7 with leenock being up 2-1.

leenock came from the open winner's bracket. the only series he lost in the whole tourney was his first series with drg.

Naniwa won MLG GI and came 2nd in providence tourney. A absolutely amazing performance looking at all the top names that was there. He just claimed the nr1 spot as the best non korean sc2 player in the world.

Epic job Naniwa!!

yep naniwa did fine. i would have liked him to win, but i think owning mvp and nestea is an even bigger win then winning providence.

Ya of course I remember.....that guy was so insanely bad, i must have facepalmed 10 times during that match.

And then he left right after knocking leenock down to Code A LOL, what a douche.

I think his bad luck started in that day, haha.

Really really good tournament except for the crowd that booed at some players. I hope we can avoid providence in the future. MLG did an awsome job as usual. Really really good games this MLG imo. Good job.

reading the LR during breakfast at work was hilarious - so much anti-toss-QQ and in the end leenock takes it all; TL-LRs really never disappoint lol

Very nice MLG, also great finals. Leenock really countered the FFE builds by Naniwa. Dont know why ppl are screaming non stop that Leenock cheesed and etc. Its a build against the build>< Nice played by the zerg. From the open brackets to the championship really nice. GJ. Also GJ to Naniwa for the play.

Congratulations to Leenock. Very deserving winner there.

I'm a bit disappointed in Naniwa though. He did the same thing Inca did against Nestea in the GSL Finals.

"I'll go fast expand every game, and you do anything you want..."

Was expecting some creativity from Naniwa. Throw a 4-gate in there, scare Leenock or something. Dont just do a fast expand every... single... game...

Man... I really thought he had this one... but you'll be fine nani, you'll come back stronger than ever !

So is it really MVP and Nestea the best sc2 players? Or its just the fact that in GSL they always have a week or more to prepare with their coaches for a specific matchup against a specific opponent and during that time, they can analyze the shit out of their next opponet and prepare alot?
Why so serious?
