Good apology. Look, what he did was pretty inexcusable, but the community has forgiven worse for others who never apologized.

It was quiet obvious how pressured Naniwa looked. Although this behaviour is unacceptable... It's forgivable.

Such a shame he had to mention this, because of all these intellectual ragers.. gj to the people tying to defend him even though it was an uneven battle. mainly in rationality.

the thing i dont get is how Naniwa can be so crushingly self critical of all his losses and then switches to utter hubris after 2 series vs MVP and Nestea.. its like there is no middle ground what so ever.

and cue the Complexity damage control...

on the plus side ive never been so into a match as the 2nd nestea/nani, hope tomorrow keeps these awesome games going!

Naniwa and HuK have carried the foreigner torch forward this tournament, though in different fashions. The first has become the new face of BM. The second is an old crowd favorite. In terms of achievements, Naniwa has achieved much more this MLG - beating MVP, Nestea, and then Nestea again (for a record of 4-2) is not something any other foreigner can boast. As much notoriety as Naniwa might have gained for his actions in-between games, the man deserves credit for showing that no, he is not going to become just another foreigner victim in a sea of foreigner victims. He wants it all.

Meanwhile, the favorites from IM, Nestea and MVP, have both been sent to the LB. That this would happen, and via foreigners in the case of Nestea, was almost unthinkable prior to the tournament. But now it is a reality - though no doubt helped by the seeding system that gave them ample time to prepare, whereas Nestea and MVP had to slug it through the OB, one foreigner has risen to the greatest challenge of them all... And triumphed.

Pity that he had to wreck his reputation on the exact same day.

But hey, Naniwa is what he is. Accept him, reject him, hate him, love him, this tournament thus far has been his story.

u talk as if Naniwa and Huk is somewhat sooo gooooddd
if foreigners that good, then why's no one ever through the second round of Code A ?!

only Huk able do that, after he's multiple tries

foreigner won because this is "their" tournament
their rules, their turf, system, etc
the fact that only Huk (and jinro, and arguably idra) can last in korean turf, but NEVER won a single cup
is a fact that foreginer only won because this is "their" tournament

korean come being jet lagged, crawling from open bracket, with maximum a week of training (due to GSL)
but foreigner came to GSL with everything set
they came more than 3 days before the match (citation needed), they know the opponent, has the same preparation time
the same thing goes for GSL World Championship

u saw the IPL KoTH like clan war ?
no one gets even near slayers B teamers
thou i'd like to see how EG (arguably the best foreigner team) has their chances against them

they can have the throphy, but NOT YET the acknowledgement

I personally don't remember idra BM someone after he won, and even idra would not target giants with alot of fans such as nestea or mvp

Did Naniwa/Huk/Idra come from Korea just like all the (other, lol) koreans?

Good apology. Look, what he did was pretty inexcusable, but the community has forgiven worse for others who never apologized.

Obviously he was under immense pressure being on stage against Nestea, expecially with yesterday's win in mind. Nani is so focused on winning and probably have pretty bad tunnel vision when he is "in the zone". It's not an excuse for saying MLG is a joke, but an explanation. The whole "thumbs down is bm" is just ridiculous imo since there obviously was a rivalry and Nestea was in on it.

Naniwa often gets misinterpreted which is really sad. He's often really nice and even funny in interviews, but he really needs some form of mental training so he doesn't end up in these situations.

It was taken way, way out of context by everyone. Watch for yourself, 90% of the people referencing I'm sure haven't actually seen it.

Who? The players? I'm sure Naniwa lost a lot of respect from players today.
