No player/caster bashing, or balance whining. Bans will be handed out like candy. (page 217)
No sexist jokes or anything of that nature either. Be mature people. |

Naniwa has been one of the most consistent sc2 foreigners since the release. won major tournaments and placed high inn almost every tournament he has played. Give the man some props. He is one if not the hardest working foreigner right now!
they can say he cheesed all day, but i think the two final games of naniwa vs MVP and Nestea were both brilliant and he showed great decision making in pretty unusual games. this is something only good players can do, good decisions in unfamiliar situations.
the 2 gate expand vs MVP was great and that he won the base race against a terran shows some skill too while the thread was calling MVP the winner as the base race started. vs Netea i thought he had lost after that great mindgames pulling drones forcing a nexus cancel + 2 cannons in the main and he still won afterwards.

Naniwa played well, but that last game from Nestea was disgustingly bad, just terrible.

I wish people could take examples from the BW LR style posting. If I want to tune into a thread to see what's going on real quick, it's difficult to see who's even ahead in a game; remember, lot's of people can't always turn on a stream because of work, on phone...ect (and I'm pretty sure this is part of the reason why live report developed in the first place? Correct me if I'm wrong).
The purpose of a live report thread has been mostly absent in sc2 history.

I don't recall that many people berating Nani or hearing the word cheese too much. o_O
I see many people still don't know what that term means. Hopefully they learn someday. There were definitely a lot of mind games going on and risky play.
Maybe I left too early. Anyway, as I pointed out before calling any one player the best, especially in the foreigner scene is silly. There are many of them who can do well if they're having a good day.
Agreed beachbeachy.

The purpose of a live report thread has been mostly absent in sc2 history. The purpose of a live report thread has always been discussion during the games as well as actual lr, and that worked fine in bw where less people would tune in and more people would lr.. At this point I think they should probably be split into two separate things, preferably with lr being something supported by tl with dedicated lr writers, maybe in threads that are locked for everyone else or something.

It's just more of a cluster fuck with the new guys. I definitely don't see that much analysis going on anymore. Much more snide remarks on a player's play or fan boys and other posters berating players/commentators or anything else they aren't happy with.
This LR had everything from, "Where do you keep your wallet?" to who has the cutest face/body in eSports.

The real reason Idra lost that final game vs Nestea was because he did not prioritize gas. That is the primary reason. Not because he did not get Infestors early enough. If he had gone for Infestors he would have had less Hydra and lost anyway. I think Nestea was ahead on gas all game even when he was down on bases.
ZvZ I would say larva and gas are the most important resources late game and minerals don't matter much.

Exactly. And the poster above you had a good idea for a resolution.

I think you're finding hate where it doesn't exist. People here love Naniwa. They may love Huk more [coz he's just that gangsta] but they don't discriminate against the Swedish Sensation.

There was that amazingly accurate forcefield towards the end that turned it that was decisive. I think it was more good play by Nani.
It's fun to see foreigners win, even though many people may remain unconvinced by this match. Hell, it's fun to see Protoss appear so strong this tournament.

ZvZ I would say larva and gas are the most important resources late game and minerals don't matter much. What? They were both on 3 base gas... actually Idra was on 4 (counting the gold) at the end of the game.
Nestea went around 180ish supplyroach hydra w/ infestor. Idra was maxed roach/hydra. It's obvious who wins. Idra's Infestor tech was too late. That's it. Idra was ahead, sure, but he has always been slow to use infestors (why idra why) and Nestea probably knew that. He had lost half the drones at his third too, and Idra was on full 4 base econ. The only way back in the game was Infestors. Idra should have known that, but oh well, that's why Nestea is the best ZvZ in the world. Idra played really well though.
It's a shame seeing what LR threads have come to. So much player bashing and fan-boyism... instead of just giving credit where credit is due. When Nestea beat Idra, Idra fanboys said "Well Idra SHOULD have won" while Nestea fanboys said "Well the best player wins no matter what went on in the game so Nestea is better". But when Nestea loses to Naniwa, "LOL Nestea is still better anyway he should have won" even though that's the exact thing they berated the Idra fanboys for saying.

Anyone know how I can get rid of those CoD and Halo streams from quad view? Last MLG I had the SC2 beta streams on the bottom two.

That P2P option is great for us third worlders far away from the distribution servers.
|
And I thought nothing could top Day 1 but day 2 is looking amazing
