But it says players 1-12 get seeded into the first 2 rounds. But they get fed in through 8 brackets of losers. How do they get the top 12 from those 8 brackets? obviously the winner of each will go through, giving you 8/12 but where do the other 4 come from? sorry if im asking something stupid or if ive just missed something, i just wanna know incontrols chances of advancing thanks The other 4 (denoted OLB #1-4) are the losers of the 4 finals in the winners bracket.
The 8 winners of their respective open loser bracket are denoted OLB #5-12.

Did really Idra say this? And did he mean serial killer in SC2 or real life? :D

I can see iNcontrol getting out of losers bracket, that would be so awesome.

How were the games vs idra? I saw the result and was kind of surprised Really good. IdrA appeared to actually outplay Nestea (Really good harrassment), but he overcommitted a few times and Nestea did some strong timings to defeat him. "outplaying" is a pretty bad term. The player who played better wins, that's why they win. If you make fewer minor mistakes but make a fatal mistake, you played worse, not better. ^^Some real wisdom here, take notes. The guy who won is the one who played better because he made better decisions.
Yes. He may be the worse player or less intelligent but only what he actually did in the game counts, thus you have to be playing better to win, even if you don't know wtf you're doing.

Doesn't feel so bad losing to this guy in a tournament after seeing all his wins against top level Koreans.
+1 to his fan base! You're in a position to feel bad about losing to gatored? Why aren't you in Providence right now? Anyone that loses a close game feels bad, especially if they thought they were about to beat a good player like Gatored. Is that so wrong?
I'll go if you sponsor me ^^

Nani won 3k for this, plus the 2k he won for winning the EU regionals.
The global invitational was a small invite event played out online the last couple of months with regional winners (nani + Idra + MVP) and the blizzcon champ (ended up being runner up (nestea) since MVP won both KR invitational and blizzcon) playing a 4man offline bracket to kick off the grand finals.
The main tournament got underway at the same time and games have been played through the first 5 rounds or so of the open bracket, I guess today will see the completion of the open winners and losers bracket, + a good chunk of the championship bracket.
$50k is for the winner of the actual MLG providence event.

Just skip to around 1:55 for MVP vs Nani. You may need premium to be able to do this, I don't really know.

Did they stream more of mvp's matches after he beat wangon in round 1? (on all streams)
|
They seriously didn't stream the Ro4 matches? Except Hero vs Jinro.

Does naniwa gain any advantage in the main MLG providence tournament for winning that invitational thing?

Guys I have a question. I didn't watch last night and I need recommendations. Ofc I'm gonna watch Idra vs Nestea and Nani vs MVP. But what about the rest of day1, is there any games worth watching or should i just skip and w8 for day2 to start ? I see casted games in OP but they don't sound interesting at all..
THX in advance

Ganzi has a <40% TvP winrate in Korea, where Protoss had been getting crushed by Terran left and right for a while. A lot of highlevel Terrans seem to be really good at TvT and TvZ, but not so good at TvP (MVP, MMA etc). Of course, you also get players like Taeja who kill every Protoss they come across.
I reckon it's just because there were hardly any Protoss in Code S for a while, so Code S Terrans didn't need to practice TvP so much. Then, with the return of Protoss, the top Terrans found they had not prepared for it.
This shows in MVP's games vs Naniwa. He didn't have a clear plan in his games, he went for pretty aimless builds (1rax expand -> more rax -> completely passive play -> really delayed upgrades and forgetting to put down an Armory). I get the impression P will have the edge in PvT for a short time now, at least in Code S, because Terran will have to adapt and prepare.
