Watch how you approach the topic of match fixing. You can speculate, saying "I'm not so sure about the finals, something doesn't sit right with me," but if you are going to outright accuse players of match fixing you need something more than your word.
TL takes match fixing/abuse seriously and as such there is a burden a proof when you are accusing players.

The tournament format insured that every pair of regional representatives was split in this way.
It was also seeded that every first place regional winner would play a regional runner-up in the first round.
In any case the replays for last year were all released, why don't you wait until this year's to be replaced before you talk about fishy results in games you didn't watch?
Even before this said final there was a clip shown in which both talked about meeting eachother in the grandfinal and having no real other competitors at this tournament.
Did anyone really doubt they were the two best players in the tournament? Select and Nainwa have been in Korea and proven they were middle of the pack code A players so far. Moonglade, Ret and Loner both had their chances to prove themselves in GSL and none of them could get into code S either.
Dimaga and Sen could be argued to be the best foreigners there and Dimaga did beat both of them in the World Championships, but it's not like they were clearly the better. Besides, MVP was also talking about winning GSL 4-1 over MMA... they're just being confident.

Here's apparently what Nestea thinks of the match:
OrangeMilkis Wooju Lee RT: @IM_NesTea_: "Did you watch it well?" I said, to David Kim.

This thread has made it clear that every player in the world, from ToodMing to Nestea is involved in some sort of massive conspiracy, orchestrated by Blizzard. That must be exposed.

Wow how much money has MVP made WHAT A BOSS

well its either nestea threw the game or he's a high ranked diamond player, pick one Or you know, he choked. Why is everyone so quick to accuse the players of matchfixing when it's more likely that NesTea failed to properly prepare for MVP's turtling mass ghost strategy? It's not like NesTea didn't do ANYTHING to try and swing the game into his favour. He tried nydus to take out MVP's later expansions, he tried a doom drop into main to lure MVP's army in & kill them. He also tried another ling drop into MVP's bottom expansions. He just got turned away every time. Sure NesTea could've played much much better, but why is it so hard for people to believe that he's also capable of choking like MMA did against Polt? Contrary to Artosis and his followers' belief, he's not a god and he makes mistakes. Also, if you know ANYTHING about korean culture, you would know that there's no way they would fix the match in MVP's favour. NesTea is the senior of the two by far, and his pride & MVP's respect for him would never let that happen. Could it be that they had agreed to split the prize money beforehand? Possibly, but that's different from fixing the outcome of the match (though I'm strongly against it). If you actually look at the games though, why would they feel the need to all-in and hit timings as they did, if a deal was in place? People really need to stop jumping to ridiculous conclusions and use their heads. please find the post where i talk about match fixing , i just said that he threw the game away, and he did play diamond level , if you disagree well ... , the issue is it seemed like there was nothing on the line, nestea floating 14k minerals and still staying on 192 supply not making an overlord for 5 minutes, doing a doom drop and not controlling it at all etc... you're right , you need to stop jumping to conclusions and use your head more
It's pretty depressing to hear so many people here think Nestea played on diamond level. People are just so myopic and have poor game knowledge, acting like they know better than Nestea because in their games they could do X and win against Platinum Terrans.

I don't understand the whole Match-fixing angle.
If IM was going to fix these games, wouldn't they give the victory to Nestea since MVP is winning everything else? Why in gods name would they give MVP the win if they were match-fixing? Doesn't even pass the laugh test.
This tourny is just a sign of things to come at MLG Prov. These two players won't lose a set to a non-IM player or non-Korean Code S terran.

Huh? Why does it matter who they give the victory too as long as they split the prize money. You think they give a shit about a blizzcon 'gold'? Not saying i think this happened, i've not even seen the games. But it would make sense at least.

You think the players don't care about 1st place achivements?
Although I could accept that if they were going to split the money anyways, Nestea wanted to show Blizzard firsthand how much zerg is "underpowered" compared to terran. With him telling David Kim "did you watch that?" it gives it some merit I suppose.
I still think Nestea was playing to win though. He may not have cared as much as he should have though.

If they split I'm pretty sure both would've tried to finish 5th place, since 3^9 is 27, so clearly they haven't, I proved it with maths!

Nestea is a whiner. He's good, but he whines almost as much as Idra about zerg being UP.

I think Koreans don't care about Blizzcon at all. It's not an achievement just an opportunity to win money. This wouldn't be the first time Koreans had these kind of arrangements in foreign tournaments, it happened in BW at some point too.

Do you guys think Chris Metzen was high? He looked more like Christal Methzen if you ask me.

This wouldn't be the first time Koreans had these kind of arrangements in foreign tournaments, it happened in BW at some point too. Difference is that they're not fighting for small change here. This Blizzcon was the equivalent of winning a season of code S in prizemoney, and unless you're suggesting that the GSL (and every other tournament out there) is a set-up too, you have no basis to make an accusation like that.
Not to mention that SC2 seems to be a whole lot more succesful in the West then in Korea itself. In a way, there's more prestige taking something like blizzcon, where so many fans are physically present then a korean GSL finals.
I don't see any situation in which a player, let's say MVP, agrees up front to forfeit 15k USD to another player he has regularly beaten in the past. Neither do I see Nestea offering the same thing after busting MVP 2-0 in their first bo3.

Really? Seriously? I hope to god he doesn't actually expect 27 broods against 18 ghosts to ever be a smart idea.

What composition is a maxed Zerg supposed to have then?
