Ah, San back on NSHoSeo... weird that he left for awhile.

San the Man has returned.

Hopefully San brings his A game and plays really well. Haven't seen much from him in a long time
ManZenith, is it the time he makes a comeback?

San's PvT is still supposed to be S-class amongst Koreans. MVP uses him as a practice partner when facing tosses.
Hopefully he shows his skills.

Looks like that base is going to get scouted

Nice predictions, I also think Leta will advance. (Oh you edited it )
Really though, Ryung and Puzzle I think.

There was no thread literally 2 min before the games started and I had to recycle one of my old Proleague ones from way back rather quickly

San and Puzzle fightinggggggg

No San

OP, the next games will be played on Shakuras, Antiga, Antiga, Tal'Darim, just FYI.
It's always that way. First 2 games on Shakuras, Winners and Losers games on Antiga and final game on Tal'Darim.

Thanks, I don't really follow the WCG, just decided to check it out. Had to improvise with the thread a bit ^_~

I can't wait until Metalopolis and Shakuras are gone from all map pools. They are too old and not good enough to keep for much longer.

What kind of moronic non-sense was Puzzle trying there ? 2 Base Phoenix Zealot Sentry All-In ? WTF ?
Come on Puzzle! I fucking love you!

The Mutascount was not that high especially with the Phoenixes out he was able to keep it low. He should've been able to get the lowground third below his main .... . The All-In he tried was doomed the second he attacked. He never once was close to actually breaking Line . He killed a buttloard of lings but lings with 4 Bases and 5 Hatches are for free.

Oh man, I can't be the only one who feel the broodwar vibe listening to the commentators I've been hearing for years. So much nostalgia.
Edit: that Ryung vs Line game was just crazy O-O
man i love this scg sc2 action, really has that BW feel, and this is a weird build by line

this is the line from super tournament it seems

wow line is really good. He needs more coverage!
What did they say about TvT?
Infested Marine vs Marine?

It may be weird but its very strong against standard Terran play . Ryung didn't really react at all to it.
Pretty clutch fungal there, followed by a nice double penetration of Ryung's natural and third.
It's so annoying watching Ryung TvZ. He seems to always do this stupid pretend push and pulling back, never attacking at all, wasting any early advantage/upgrade timing he may have. He never seems to know when to attack.

He did beat Losira and Check in the qualifier to get here, so he's not completely lost
PS Crispy Crunch thumbs up lol
Terrans are going to have to start scouting, tanks just aren't enough against this ling/infestor style. Going to have to get ghosts and turtle push it. Well played by Line, hope this means Zenex is still around and kicking
so how do you counter this mass ling style though. I suppose you turtle heavier, get lots of marines or go mech with bfhs?
Who would have thought in a group with San, Puzzle and Ryung, Line would end up coming out on top?
But then again, it's good that he's the sole Zerg representation left in WCG Korea. (or 2nd, didn't realize Annyung also made it through).

Marine Tank is perfectly fine, you just need to push much much slower. Or Go Mech.

He probably wanted to setup a safe third and rely on drops afterward. Drops that didn't work so well in the end.
Line advances? The guy sure does pick the most random tournaments to do well in.
Yo man, WCG isn't a random tournament, it's your only chance to become a World Champion!
Ryung never really harassed Line, letting Line get an easy 3rd after Line's failed attack. He had a huge timing where he had 3 tanks, a bunch of marines, stim finishing, watch tower control, but didn't go attack. He did the same thing I've seen him do every other TvZ, he danced around the bases outside the watch tower range, letting Line macro up heavily and win.
Funny, I just tuned in and I could tell who was who just by army control
I guess San's earlier second nexus was too much, even tho he lost probes.
Wow How did San won that?
Really nice control
I thought Puzzle would win that after killing a bunch of probes and getting his own Nexus but I think the resource intensive robotic tech killed him. His army was so small compared to San. San just went twilight/blink, got a bunch of stalkers, blink, and some immortal.
Oh man that Starleague ad was so cool, I cried a bit. TTuTT
Please advance from this group San =[ miss seeing you play.

Its such an awesome commercial
Yeah, i think maybe 4 gate into expand can be considered a pretty good build if so many other players are trying to tech up so early. You can just overrun them with units+blink later.
Wait what? I thought it was supposed to be winner vs winner, not winner vs. loser

Line 2-0 Ryung and San 1-1 Puzzle 0-2
Ryung and San rematch for the second spot to advance.
looks like another Ryung marine, tank all in.
ryung allining with tank marine.....
Good runby, but not many kills.
1-1-1 and he won convincingly. Thanks god, between MLG and IEM I can't stand more whine
omg 1 1 1 held like a boss
Yay, San won! He looks so happy.
I had a feeling San would pro up when Artosis mentioned him during MLG casting.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MANZENITH!!!!
fuck yea!! i love ryung, but san i want san to make a comeback in the scene so badly!
So every Slayers player is out now right ?
Edit: forgot about Taeja , still pretty bad play from the other Slayers guys.
Damn he made that look easy
Haha 1-1-1 on Tal darim, Ryung is so pathetic. Gj San.
Those 3/4 hellions he wasted would've been so useful against the zealot heavy army during that attack. it's too bad.
ManZenith is back. <3<3<3<3<3<3
San is so good, I hope he gets onto a team again so we can see him more.
San had very good focus fire, his immortal was on the tank while zealots were on the marines. He played it as well as he could and won, congrats to him.
San looks so different then he looked before (as in his face). Has it really been that long?
Wow, congrats San!!! Glad to see San's still got some fight in him :D
Protoss wins and Slayers terran loses. The patch worked after all.

He's wearing an NSHoSeo uniform so I assume he's back with them?
I'm pretty sure that this wasn't 1-1-1, what with the 3 rax and no starport -.-;;

He looks the same to me, maybe a little chubbier face and hair is a little different.

ManZenith needs to go over to MLG and win back his Code S spot.

If Ryung just attacked with all his army instead of trying to harass the mineral line with 3 non-upgraded hellions, I think he would've won. Why would you do that during an all in? You're just wasting more time for them to build up army... not to mention those hellions would've been huge against zealots during that attack.

Hell, I'll take any Protoss victory over 1-1-1 ! :D!!

still doesnt work. best way to counter that type of play is fast expand from protoss. and he spreaded zealots out when attacking meaning hellions will do absolutely no dmg

FE is not a counter, it just lets you survive better. That one big encounter was really close anyways... with the marines clumped up from forcefield and zealots owning them, the hellions definitely would've made a difference.

FE is not the counter now but when the right way to engage + the timings get figured out, i can see 1-1-1 pretty much being obsolete.
theoretically 1 base play against marine tank all in just shouldn't work unless you do major damage with a rush. 1 base protoss economy is just not strong enough and can't keep up with 1 base terran + mules to stay alive, and unless you get like colossus tech out you're not gonna have enough units once they just keep streaming over and over.
I think 15 nexus should always win though. Especially on the bigger maps
what song is this? or group? I mean... from nanashin's stream

So the two Code S players don't advance even though the other two are in Code B....

They'll both probably lose along the way to the Finals of WCG Korea.

Wow, not the players I expected to advance by far.

Woh, I was off with my prediction haha

No. Taldarim is the worst map for 1-1-1 unless the T do severe harass damage. Good executed 1-1-1 is imbalanced for reasons that have been discused like 100 times and results keep backing up that sentence.
OMG YES SAN! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO COME BACK :'D
Line's build vs Ryung looked really cool. Early double evo, LOTS of zerglings and infestors.
oh wow, san the man might be coming back? hes in the nshoseo uniform once again, and playing like a baws!
Definitely wasn't expecting these results.

Its Stephano's build I believe? Haven't seen the VODs yet.
San showing the power of NSHoseo Protoss! He looked so relieved after the last match, I am happy to see him doing well again. Smart player.
fe is counter to 1/1/1 since 1/1/1 cant attack or do any pressure early in the game. lol

stop with ur theory craft lol. you have better understanding then all progamers then.

Finally watched the vods and woot at the results <3 And what happened to the observer ? He was so good the previous weeks, he's so bad in this session TT. So happy that Man crushed Ryung's 111 haha xD Group C now.
I keep thinking that Line's army composition is closer to optimal midgame ZvT than anyone else's.
mutalisks LOTS and LOTS of zerglings some infestors
I'd add very few banelings here and there before infestors are out, and some bling landmines throughout the game for maybe a jackpot.
the mass baneling style everybody and their mother uses is very prone to doing zero damage if the engagement is not perfect, angle and timing wise. I'd like to see what an S class zerg using this style is capable of.
lolwhat? Definitively did not expect Line to win. Hopefully San goes back to the condition where he was months ago.
