I actually think 1/1/1 was the best transition there.
He was just so much ahead, expanding could've let Mana back into the game.

TOP, really showing us how much better Korean Terrans are than European Protoss.

/sigh

You missed the first game, didn't you?

My post was sarcastic XD

MaNa played much better than TOP did in Game 1, so what does the Top-tier Code S Terran do? 1 Base all-in!

Even though you kinda pointed it out well that it was sarcastic.. Sarcasm really doesnt seem to translate well over the internet haha

I guess we should wait till blizz balance that kind of "much more skill to defend than to attack" pushes -.-

Lol this game is full of those attacks. Zergs have to suffer most of those.

They would have to remove warp-ins completly to somehow achieve that (or buff basedefenses massively) ^^.

If he can't beat Mana in a macro game, revert to 1-1-1 variant :p

that's what I thought, too. It looks like he didn't know how good MaNa is before playing him. So, he tried to play a normal macro style. I remember MaNa also saying a few month ago that he doesn't practise for the players, he just plays standard in tournaments. ^^

Guys really, Top controlled better with his drop and mana just fell apart..

And are you guys serious? Top not being able to beat Mana in a Macro game? Get real

You didn't see Game 1 did you?

MaNa looks to be really taking advantage of the fact that Code S Terrans haven't been playing many Protoss lately XD

I saw game 1, Mana played better that game. Top played better this game

Exactly. I doubt there any one base push in any match up that has near the win percentage that the 1-1-1 does in TvP. At least you can pick off the Tanks now with Immortals.

It wasn't a transition. If he does lots of damage, he is ahead and goes and kills him with the 1-1-1. If he does no damage, he is so far behind he can't just expand, he has to 1-1-1.

There is (almost) no situation where he would have done anything else. That is a build order that doesn't deviate. And it provides a build order win, or a build order loss.

Top flipped a coin, and it give him a win.

Anywho, Tal'Darim Altar PvT

42-39 in favour of Terran, still pretty close

TOP is 0-1 (wow)
Mana is 21-6 (also wow)

Again, Mana's wins include Demuslim and Puma

I thought it is better to do a really fast expand vs 1-1-1?

The difference bewteen that build and a normal 1-1-1 was the early marine hellion attack that killed a ton of workers and crippled mana's econ so he couldnt produce enough to deal with the push.

its up for debate which is the best build to do vs the 1-1-1 in my opinion its phoenix + immortal one base but everyone says different things.

Before the nerfs and lots of Zerg tears 2 rax bunker rushing against 15 hatch had same win rate.

I have no idea if that is so but for me that sounds odd. How are you supposed to defeat it without units?

Stop whining. Mana lost 25 probes to banshees and helions. That's probably why he lost the game. Probably. Idiot.

By the time it hits, you can get a decent amount of probes at both, and the production that is backed up be said probes

The attack by Top wasn't that effective to be honest. 8 marines, a medivac and 3 hellions for just 14 probes. Not exactly the kind of trade you're hoping for doing this as a terran I'd say.

14 probes man, protoss doesnt have mules so killing workers early is very effective
