I haven't watched the series yet, but by all accounts the series was a lot closer than the score indicates, plus curious is a strong player. DRG got destroyed by MKP recently, so I don't see how losing to him makes you bad at zvt..

MKP seems to go into God Mode in online games, not much of a shame to lose against him.

It's quite rare to see all of them voted "No" to watch =/ G1 = Oz goes for a super greedy build (1gate tc?) and just dies outright to a 4gate G2 = Oz goes DT + expand vs a robo build, he has his DT's shut down, but Sage somehow conspires to fail a 1 base colossus push thanks to some bizarre decision making by himself and decent delaying by Oz. G3 = Sage loses probes early unnecessarily, has late warpgates so has to fend off some 3gate pressure. Miss micros his 3gate counter push to lose almost everything, and then there's a drawn out wait for the inevitable since Oz has a 10 worker lead, then expos, gets up an unbeatable unit comp (and + 40 supply) vs Sage's blink stalkers but can't really push till he gets blink of his own up G4 = Sage goes 2x proxy gate. Sage supply blocks himself at 18 for an age. Oz scouts it + reacts well, some decent micro and since Sage can't actually produce zealots he quickly has more units and it's over. Oz played well, but Sage handed most of the series up on a platter. It was mostly an exhibition of what people dislike about PvP, rather than a series that people had hoped would showcase some of the newer options that are supposed to be seeing some use. Good Recap. Long story short... nothing really worth noting for the new era of PvP. Which is a big problem since he will most certainly have at least 1 maybe 2 or 3 PvPs in his up/down group.
Sage's PvP (from what I've seen) has looked pretty lackluster.

Who would have thought ... the build I always do when I play terran and get called an idiot for doing GuMiho does in game 2!(at least early game) Of course he did it a lot better than I ever have but still ^_^
and the Oz vs Sage games were really disappointing

Sage remind me of SanZenith Such an awesome late game macro player. But then hit the prick of some Protoss. Oh well at least he still has another shot in U&D matches

seriously, if not for Artosis' hype, no-one would know or care who Sage was

I'm seriously even more scared for this U&D than last time, there's so many protoss that terrans and zerg can just prepare vs protoss and send them all into code A. 1-1-1 fest incoming.
Plus there's tons of terran as well, it's looking pretty dire for JYP and Puzzle in particular

Just saw the games, PvP was meh. TvZ was awesome
And yay! PvZ final, maybe that will shut up the whiners for a while.
The Curios Gumiho games were really nail bitting. Sage is bad at PvP lol

Oh my god curious. Tis the Gumiho who recently beat Nestea too :O
SAGGGGGEEEE has been taken out? o.O too bad vP
|
Well now this certainly wasn't the result I was expecting. Oz beating Sage isn't that unexpected since mirrors are always funky, but Curious over Gumiho is a pleasant surprise.

Gumiho vs Curious was an amazing series! Pretty close games despite 3-0.
|
I think this has been said, but the Gumiho vs Curious series was fantastic. Haven't enjoyed watching a game as much as I did for game 3 in a while.

Things to take away from the semis: Oz has awesome game sense and micro in his PvP Gumiho still struggles against players who can simply outhustle him with harass/counters Curious has some of the better elements of July's Z without the massive risk-taking July is so famous for Sage....Sage....sigh. Just not quite on for these games I could feel it. For the doubters, Sage is one of the more innovative P players out there and when he brings his A-game he's a force. I'm more convinced Oz has excellent PvP than I am convinced Sage has weak PvP (I did think the 2gate proxy was...odd? Just a strange decision considering Sage's background as an awesome macro-toss.)

I actually thought he wasn't going to do well after I saw some of those games and then he just goes and snaps people necks. I guess what I am trying to say is that sometimes players are on streaks, and sometimes people are nervous ect. I just hope to see more results from both curious and gumiho, because Gumiho in particular looked really really good in wcg.

IPL are played on NA server at bad hours, of course he is gonna play bad on it lol. Just look at FXO KOTH played at decent hours on KR server, 80% of the time his play is out of this world micro-wise
