Ase re, ti mou les. Den itan cheese... eleos.... Guy goes FE what 1 gate dts? and you guys are all slagging on him. Jinro has a problem with his early game, and choya does a harass and Jinro GG's out. And some how one of the nicest people in the world is to blame.... Ante...

If the DTs failed utterly, he could have tried to get a wall or at least a few cannons at his natural and build up more zealots/stalkers before transitioning into whatever. Going fast DTs and attacking with them is not cheese - it's just a form of pressure. If DTs failed choya would be dead with zero chance of recovery. Going fast 3 DTs is absolutely cheese. There is a DT expand build that's somewhat stable - but this isn't anywhere close to that.

Guess hindsight is always great but if you're in his shoes with no idea what's going on, a lot tougher call. If he had scanned the DT's as they were coming up his lower ramp he could have killed them. Granted that would take pretty amazing reaction time but still.

isnt that the second time you said that to him? i love how much hate choya is getting and how everyone is still worshipping jinro you scout 2 gas early on, no more gateways or an expo, and he just expands with no more scouting and no detection at all..... from that, choya deserved the win imo

In general, cheese is hard to beat if not scouted but easy to defeat if it is scouted. DT openings are not "highly unconventional" and they are only hard to defend against if you become too mule greedy which was exactly the case here. DTs are no more chesse than a terran opening cloaked banshees...

There was no way choya could have protected his "expansion", it was just part of the deception. It's a usual DT-expand.... And the DTs give you time, there is no way you get attacked when they are out. And even if you can just make Archons. It is in no way an all-in.

Choya took a huuuge risk and it paid of. but that had nothing to do with skill O.O lol you assume choya would not react if he scouted jinro trying to pressure. These are pros they know what the possibilities are.
