Stay positive, be happy and enjoy the event. Caster bashing and player bashing? Too much whining? Uh-oh! |

What are you doing there ? I understand them not wanting to play Sen, he's a beast but you should not be able to have the option to choice in a Tournament, something they both think they have. That's not how it works. You see the lineup and then it can happen you meet a good player in an early round. Not saying they should get a DQ, but what they tried to do is not correct either, entertaining games or not. You answered it yourself. They are there to get 2nd or 3rd place. So they avoid tougher opponents in early brackets hoping someone else knocks them out. They are in it to win it, and to win it means a bit of luck and understanding the bracket system. Honestly. That's not a winners mentality.
The best generals win the easy fights and avoid the hard ones.
No different here.

i like the new metagame push by TLO loose the 2 first game to disturb the opposents and rape the third to finally qualify pretty impressive BO and new style incoming in the SC2 scene

In soccer they would be the "injured" players jumping off the stretcher as soon as they're off the field. At least this isn't that annoying and is actually entertaining. They'll play the rest of their games seriously, I'm sure in soccer they would be denmark and sweden agreeing to draw 2-2 for a huge "sup italy?" or germany scoring vs austria in 1982 then both doing nothing for 80 minutes for a huge "sup algeria?" I strongly doubt that Denmark let Sweden have their 2-2 goal in the end of the game, they probably would've loved seeing us get knocked out. Nope its true, thats why they play all last games together rather waiting and seeing results beforehand. They were, but Italia had Bulgaria left, so everyone assumed that they would win, IIRC.

pretty please? Please make it happen. ^_^ Nothing is more sacred than the competition. I really do hope they get dqed for throwing games. Its not like they were trying to make the other look bad by playing goofy. They were just trying to lose. Imagine if at the finals and they decided to split the prize money between themselves and proceeded to attempt to lose a box series. This is just as bad.
Throwing a qualifying game is the same as throwing a finals and planning on splitting the money? Hmm let me think for second.
+ Show Spoiler + ....Oh, right. No, it's not. Well that was easy.

...good work stephano and bratok both showed strong plays in the last series.

Well the usual answer to this is to play all final games at the same time so people don't know to "win/lose". But that is just not possible scheduling/streaming wise.
|
I'm surprised so many people want Stephano and Brat_OK to be DQ-ed. This phenomena happens in big sports events as well. Rather blame the tournament structure than the players imo.

Fun tu watch, for the commentary only...
From a professional standpoint then, if I were to give you 8000 euros for winning 1 match and you had your choice of playing against Sen or Sarens, who would it be?
How is that any different?

Best Generals don't go for first place prize. Something compleetly different.
If you go to a tourney and hope to get 3th and avoid tough aponents, that's not a winners mantality, it's smart no doubt, but it's a lot different then going for top spot, and beating any one on your way.

So the games continue at 8pm CET?

Agreed, and especially for people to say this, how was playing some amusing games different to just left click moving your marines into the banelings during the attack or left click moving your zerg through the terran?

so, matches start again in one hour. Can someone confirm plz, I don't have stream sounds on? thx

Am I correct in saying the next games will be in 1hr and 5 minutes from now?

Only thing that u can do to prevent this kind of things is to random draw the playoffs after groupstage play is finished. Just put all winners in one bowl and then put the 2nd place finishers in another and problem should be solved..

Obviously, SEn should be disqualified for losing to SarenS and causing this mess....

If I gave you some money to break the rules and spirit of competition, would you be interested? I don't think either should be disqualified, but I think that competitions should not allow this to happen, and I'm disappointed by both of the players.

If sc2 wants to become one it needs to learn to let players make the best choices for themselves Uhh... but in real sport players are punished for bad sportsmanship and matchfixing. What have you been watching?

GameCreds even claims games start 10 minutes earlier on their stream. Huk vs Jimpo

Gogo Nightend!! U can definitely qualify from your group.
