For example MC vs NesTea semi final winner plays Byun/Bomber/Losira/Tester, i wouldnt say its an Auto win, but MC/NesTea winner would be a 70% favorite T.T and i find that kinda silly. Oh well!! XD I really don't see how MC would be 70% favorite over Bomber, or especially losira, who never lost a Bo3-5-7 vs protoss including a win vs him. if anything, Bomber and Losira would be favored vs him. Nestea on the other hand would be favorite vs whoever, but never by such a large margin. I think the if the semis end up with MC / Nestea / Losira / Bomber, they are the best or close to the best they could've been.

I'd rather watch this all day than watch a long macro PvZ where one army crushes the other after 20 minutes of expanding and semi-harassing. Granted, the best games are long ass macro games with every tech but ONLY if they have the 'who the fuck is going to win this?' racing through my head throughout the whole game, otherwise, it's super boring to me. The thing is, in early game, 4 gate always destroys 3 gate robo due to the extra stalker/zealot per warp-in round, while 4 gate vs 4 gate always comes down to who can get their army count up higher while attacking/defending. It gets a lot worse than close spawn TvT or ZvZ because of warp-ins too. This happens frequently. In ZvZ, build order and unit count directly correlates to your chances of winning the battle in the early game. In TvT, the guy that does risky tech builds leaving only a few units to defend in the early game ends up overwhelmed by either mass marauder, mass marine, or both. Mirror matches can frequently end around the 6 minute mark because of stuff like this, and despite it being thrilling due to differences in strategy (like one guy focusing too much on killing forward zealots while his enemy targets down his stalkers) and technique (rapid blink stalker micro), you end up not really that satisfied because those matches ended abruptly when the matches could've developed into something more diverse. Basically it's like watching two heavyweight boxers with massive power swinging recklessly at each other knowing that one punch can end the fight. Exciting it may be, but when that punch lands, there goes the main event. It's all up to one's personal taste really, but more people currently want variety.

Ha, that's reassuring. I thought that perhaps GSL had made a new, good version of LT. (which ST is more or less)

The vods just got online and I don't really want to watch 4gating action :p Game 5 + Show Spoiler + Puzzle gets feinted into believing there's a 4gate coming though Tassadar is going 3gate Robo. He gets a robo and builds an observer, while also getting a twilight council and Blink. Tassadar narrowly avoids getting his own observer spotted and killed by Puzzle's when it completes. Using blink for map control, Puzzle is able to secure an expansion before Tassadar, but meanwhile Tassadar has begun massing colossi as Puzzle tries to pressure with his observer+blinking up the cliff - even able to snipe the pylon powering the robo with one blink after feinting at the front to bring Tassadar's army forward out of the main! Puzzle has NO colossi and uses an incredible engage at the front with his zealots and immortals (and a couple stalkers) and blinking up the back cliff into the main with a pack of 12 stalkers observer, forcing the colossi at the top of the ramp to move forward into immortal range to avoid being picked off by the stalker pack. With several immortals targetted on stalkers and colossi instead of zealots, Puzzle cleans up the 5 colossus + significant gateway support convincingly, and as he's going to town on the base with significant forces remaining, Tassadar GGs. Game 6 + Show Spoiler + Puzzle has a defensive 4gate readying vs Tassadar's offensive 4gate as Tassadar has a proxy pylon warping in just outside his base. When Tassadar sees this, he cancels the proxy pylon. IMMEDIATELY, Puzzle cancels his 4th gateway with it 99% complete and drops a Robo, an incredible snap-call. Game continues by Tassadar going blink and puzzle defending AMAZINGLY BARELY several blink attacks, though Tassadar never let him have more than 1 immortal at a time. He actually used his sentries convincingly in his defense, too - using FF to force Tassadar to use his blink offensively instead of defensively. When puzzle finally finishes his own blink, he has fewer stalkers, but Tassadar's stalkers are all orange/red health (even though with full shield) and is able to win the engagement with some very crisp blink micro from both players anyway. Tried to do those matches justice, they're definitely worthwhile!

Oh well hopefully this new format will be fairer, anyone got the details of the changes?
