What umm

what happened to drawing.

How can you do group selections when the up & down games arent even decided yet? You cant pick players without having the full cast available.

oh right.

I knew that.

The draw which usually happened after Code A finals were the selections for the Up/Down matches, not the group selections

There are not Up&Down group drawings anymore. The 15 people are randomly put into groups and nobody gets to pick what group they are in.

Random = Drawings.

Oh well, I guess GOM is going to just do a press release like they always do.

Except they had the top two of code A to also pick their groups. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason they broadcasted the drawings.

If I'm not wrong, the Code A qualifiers (pushed forward due to MLG) will be this weekend as well. So much GSL to look forward to.

There should be 14 spots to play for (12 + 2 because Rain and Sheth withdrew) + 4 invites (Naniwa, Thorzain, Fenix, SaSe).

Ryung won a mini tournament to take Rain's spot.
Gotta always protect them mcnuggets.

YGosu invitational which was right after MC's GSL3 win, Bomber took a 3-0 lead but then MC came back to win 4-3. Also played each other once in the Zotac tournament (Bomber win), and GSTL once (MC win)

Code S ro8 setting up for an awesome semi-s:
Nestea vs Coca
HongUn vs MC
Tester vs Losira
Byun vs Bomber

Based of the current records seems like ro4 would be:
Nestea vs MC
Losira vs Byun

I think they really need to start seeding the group phase like they do in Tennis or something and have Seed no1 and Seed no2 never meet until the final. For example MC vs NesTea semi final winner plays Byun/Bomber/Losira/Tester, i wouldnt say its an Auto win, but MC/NesTea winner would be a 70% favorite T.T and i find that kinda silly.

Oh well!! XD

MC would not be favored vs Bomber.

But he is higher ranked, which is my point. Whats the point in being given a seed to just be able to pick 1 member of your Code S group. The seeding should be given to all, and groups determined over due course, then you have top seeds meet in the later rounds, and if it would happen Seed 1 vs Seed 2 final. (NesTea vs MC i beleive)

Well if he would've done well last season he could've picked where he wanted to be. But he didn't. So he got placed in whatever group picked him.

Yeah... which meant Rain would take Ryung's guaranteed Code A spot from his Ro16 finish (just swapping the two players). Now that Rain isn't there, someone has to go to Code A to replace him.

With DRG attending? No way!

MMA and DRG are 1-1 in past matches

Thank you for quoting irrelevant statistics everyone already knows!

How is it irrelevent to dicuss MMA's and DRG's past meeting when you say MMA can't win MLG cause DRG is there?

1. It's only two games. It's statistically meaningless.
2. It was in the GSTL.

Regardless of who anyone thinks/wants to win, these statistics don't mean anything.

Then we have a ton of other small hints regarding performance lately.

They played in the GSTL. Bomber Scv allined and MC held like a boss

Okay I figured it'd only be GSTL.

Hm. I don't know if I can make a judgment on who would be favored based off of like 5 games then.

I mean if that's all the games they've played then it's 3-2 Bomber. That's just one Bo5. Not enough to say he's at a real disadvantage.

Oh wait okay then.

Still my point stands that you can't really say it's a clear advantage for one player.

I don't even know how up and down will be played (seems the draw is random), but not sure of the actual playing format. Round robin bo3 ? bo1 ?

Damn this is HUGE! Does this mean FXO will be practicing with fOu the same way TL practices with oGs? And what happens to the GSTL?

If you meant the draw to see the groups for Code A, I don't think they are doing one...random? (Not 100% sure).
There are still group nominations for Code S though.

Yeah this has been a trend in the GSL I have noticed.

Huk lost to polt who won the whole thing too. IM sure other things I am forgetting.

Jinro lost to MC in the ro4

Huk also lost to Losira in code A when he took the whole thing as well.

Bo3 would be stretching it in terms of time I think. I believe there needs to be 10 separate games played? And then of course there's going to be the tie breakers in case of ties.

Funny how foreigners in Code A have a way of running into the eventual winner of it. Only Sheth ran into Puzzle earlier than HuK ran into LosirA so he couldn't even get a shot at the Up/Downs :/
