I was so pumped for this nasl final for the first time me and my younger brother planned to watch it together on our tv, it could have been so epic... but then, so much delay for the first match, idk why would they start without any matches to broadcast. We are from belgium and it was getting late, if nasl had a good production we could have stayed all night long to watch but the we couldn't even bare watching anything before tastosis, maybe some day9 but that was it. I'm really disappointed.

When you pay 25$ for a live event, you can expect much more production value.

Is there any statement from nasl management?

then don't buy it and go watch TV .. nobody is interested in any more production QQ

Looks like Zenio didn't see Incontrol's attempted handshake because he was looking for his opponent.

I agree they need some experts, but that doesn't involve replacing the whole crew, they just need to be trained, its not like nasl is being made by monkeys.

tbh i can look past all the flaws in the produciton of the grand finals of NASL... even the sound issues and the interview shambles in between games
it will probably get better eventually ... MLG had its share of problems wich they got over and are now awesome

but what i really cant get over is the observing of the matches ..... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD !!! leave the features alone for once i would rather see what a player is doing with his mutas rather then see a fog of war of what the other dude is seeing also stom zooming around the battlefield like your on crack .. the damn observer seems to be trying to have more APM then the players

so basically cease being NASL

so what youre saying is that, rather than let them learn from their mistakes and give them a chance to make up for it in season 2 and give us a pristine presentation, you want to completely get rid of them all together?

im thinking that maybe youre single? with no kids? dear god help you if you have kids.

What a condescending prick you are, making gross assumptions about his life because he has an opinion you don't share.

For your information, the NASL isn't children. We cannot expect a child to behave because it's a child, but we can expect a for-profit organization to deliver a quality good. We forgave them when this went wrong initially, but from the very first Idra vs Jinro showmatch, there have been problems every single time. And they aren't different problems each time, they're the damn same problems. Horrible audio configuration, "technical difficulties" at every turn because they just don't seem to test anything, ever.

After two hours of waiting, we got two five minute games, and then a huge break, followed by an extremely poorly performed interview, terrible audio for hours, horrible video, and an observer that makes you want to stop watching. And that was just the first game, these problems continued throughout the entire day.

It is not wrong for people to have expectations of quality from a tournament that costs 25$(from those who got the season pass), or that offer 100.000$ in prizes. They really should have invested that money in more quality control, and instead lowered the prize money. You cannot possibly draw a link to raising children or buying products.

MLG fired their tech crew and got experienced people after the Dallas fiasco, and Colombus was much much better because of it

I was about to say the same thing. A politician would be no longer be a politician after a perfomance similar to this one. They are all professionals, at least they should be, since we are paying for it. Therefore they should be compared with professionals, not kids.

A dog craps on the sideways, we can be happy the NASL guys dont do THAT?!

Your loss, I stayed up to 8 am for those games and I don't regret it.

People are being awfully harsh about this. NASL got problems, but tone down on the language, there's no reason to fire the whole crew or insult them personally. I saw good games yesterday and I will be watching again today for sure.

Oh, and "the power of random germans" ^^ I like it.

Maybe they can ask MLG(sundance) for some experience in setting up their equipment?

that's the problem with NASL

they have the best format with the stronger player pool and they're ruining it with horrible production value

they seem to expect to attract sponsors purely on merit of having good games, but the world of money doesn't work that way

try this quick thought experiment

you're a 45 year old business investor who doesn't know ANYTHING about SC

one client shows you IPL, the other shows you NASL

which are you going to fund?

Select talks with a Korean accent, knows Korean, and obviously still is a citizen of Korea. Americans definitely do not identify themselves with Select based on appearance, they prefer Sheth.

doesn't matter that americans identify themselves or not with select... he represents a non-korean scene... which is a fact

So then Huk represents Korea right?

In my understanding, yes.

In my understanding, yes.

I don't think that's true though. He is a part of the TL community, takes part in TL Attack and State of the Game... that'd make him part of the foreigner scene?

Good games aren't NASL's saving grace. You saw them thanks to the players who played well despite the organizers who screwed up big time, there's really no denying that. ;;

I have to say, I really enjoyed NASL over the last few months. A few nights a week really good players competing and really funny commentaries made sitting in front of my screen worthwhile. Now the finals with again really, really great players is in my opinion a bonus and despite the technical problems I enjoyed watching the last night's games. In my opinion NASL should be called the real Global Starcraft League...
