Especially since the game is so young, plenty of others have been called bonjwas (MVP, MC), but no one is dominant enough for that to be true- MVP has fallen off hard, MC is still good but seems beatable, etc.

What? Try playing in a BO3 which takes 3 hours THEN play against someone else straight away from a different race on completely different maps. That is EXHAUSTING. He had such solid map control and decision making that he constantly kept Nada down. That wasn't luck. It wasn't a weird BO, it was solid, standard, play.
Against Hero he knew what was coming and used a well known counter build (over run it with lings). This is a counter that was used way in one of the earliest GSLs (GSL 3 I believe) leading the "Great Wall of Hongun" thing. He played the game right, he got Hero flustered and won.
DRG played really well, refusing to admit that just makes you look petty.

Being a big Savior fan from BroodWar, I just love to see DRG play, his play style is just oh so similar for SC2, just really great to watch/see.(I'm not calling him a player of Savior's caliber obviously yet, just the playstyle, not to mention I still believe Nestea is the zerg king).

Yeah, lol. How can one say that DRG is not good. Hes one of the best now. Code A qualifier is brutal, just as Starleague qualifer for SC:BW, any big names can be defeated in the qualifier.
Still MvP needs some more effort on their other players. One man team is never good, since other team will want to trade him, or he got bored of carry the team every time and leave, or if he enters a slump the whole team is dead.

The lack of MC gave oGs a really weak non-T lineup. HuK would be their best shot vs. DRG normally, but I suspect they had him focusing on PvP (against Genius and Tails, and his upcoming code S match vs. MC).
They figured that after breezing through the rest of MVP, they could snipe DRG in at least one of his matchups. Unfortunately, oGs is incredibly terran-centric without their star player and it didn't happen.

In a BO3, preperation is key, maybe DRG sucks at preparation.
