If you attack move carriers away from battle they don't recall all the interceptors, do they? It was kinda weird seeing those carriers constantly recalling all their units and not doing anything.

As i saw it, he scouted the carriers with that scan, or at least the fleet beacon, and then threw away some hellions + scvs to make room for vikings. HOwever, otherwise i totally agree, it didn't seem like a mech problem, and more like a multitasking problem.

I am not totally sure, but i think if you amove them away, as long as stuff is in range, they will just stay there and keep fighting.
