Looks like a couple Koreans have signed up. Unless chrome is mis-translating one of them is STVirus. Wonder how many more will throw their hat into the ring before it starts.

NASL casts all their games live. That's typical time for when the crew are ready for casting.

With up to 512 games all starting Monday at 1pm, how many of these could NASL cast live?

Not enough good, known players.

By virtue of pure bad luck (and bad bracketing) we could see most pros eliminated on one side of the bracket and then the other side with only lower level players...

I don't know why so few good players chose to participate. Maybe they are waiting till the last seccond?

It would be great if they seeded some of the better players like dimaga, thorzain, demuslim, nightend, lalush, minigun, destiny, lowely and the koreans. Because there aren't that many great players participating, as of yet, it would be wise to increase their chances.

It's already been stated that there will be some level of seeding. How exactly it will be done hasn't been announced but NASL is trying to make sure pro-players aren't knocking each other out in the first few rounds.

Though there are already around 28 or so notable pro/semi-pro gamers signed up and I forsee that number going to 32+ by Monday. So the chances of having someone with lower skills qualifieing in what will probably be a 256-man tournament is looking pretty slim to none.

I hope not as neither can compete in the open tournament since they are both in Season 1. Ace is in the playoffs! I do think there is some confusion with some of the current players that have been relegated about which NASL tournaments they can enter. If KIMSUNGJE is Rainbow that's the third pro from this season that's gotten confused between the open and next seasons qualifier. First one (open) they can't enter and the second one they can but it won't be played for a couple weeks and has no sign-ups yet.

Ahh I just wish Ace made it in the first place. He did pretty damn well in the season. Hopefully he will make it but it is very unlikely.

I'm also glad people are saying there is some kind of seeding. I'm not sure if it is true or how they will even do it, but I think even separating people who are clearly known to be pros would be a good idea.

OP has been updated to reflect changes in the tournament:

The tournament begins Wednesday June 22nd (due to 256 or less players signing up)!
The map pool has also been added

Thanks again !

I'm surprised by the small amount of sign ups. Especially on the korean side, especially from teams in which there are players already in the NASL (such as ST and SlayerS.)

Don't understand why they wouldn't just cast off replays for the open tournament in order to try and allow maximum amount of people to play.

Okay so I can't really complain because if you do get in NASL the amount of exposure is well worth the 5$ but seriously..? Bye-in tournaments are a pain. I can understand for the 10$ because they fly you out but the other one-.- It just looks to me like NASL is having trouble financially.

a. The tournament will start Monday June 20th at 19 CET (1pm EST).
b. Check-in will begin at 18 CET (12pm EST), and end at 18:45 CET (12:45pm EST)
_______________________________________________________________________

The check-in still happens on Monday?
If I miss the check-in, I'm disqualified from the tournament?

Since the tournament will actually start on the 22th, I think a lot of players might miss the Monday check in ^^

No one by that name in the TLPD. Must not be anyone famous.

EDIT: It's ST_ Ace. Yeah, I was really wrong. TLPD recognizes Jung woo seo, which I suppose is a different anglicization.
