Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

I understand that the scene is not as developed as Starcraft, and personally it is not really my thing, but the guys who play it are really committed and passionate, and the MLG crew put on a great show on the Halo stage.
I'ts ok to not like Halo, but don't hate on it because you think Starcraft is better.
I don't hate Halo at all. I think it's awesome they can play professionally and people watch. But don't come in here and start spouting some nonsense like Halo requiring BW skill when they play on an Xbox controller with auto aim.
agreed. Let's not stretch the details here. I don't even think a 360 controller can register the apm required for BW
1:45 Both players go 12-rax, Kawaii's rax about 1 sec faster. Gas start for both players on 14.
3:15 Both player's OCs complete. Both players start a fact.
5:00 BOs finally diverge. Kawaii goes Starport, Moonan makes an in-base CC. Blue Flame for Moonan, Medivacs for Kawaii.
6:45 Kawaii has units outside Moonan's base. Makes his own in-base CC. Moonnan finishes his Starpot. Kawaii moves to claim the centre watchtower. He starts Banshees.
8:15 Only 1 Banshee for Kawaii. Moonnan has a Viking though and it kills the Banshee. Both players have claimed their nats. Both cranking tanks now. Moonan goes Siege, Kawaii goes Stim+Marauders. Kawaii loads up a hellion drop.
10:15 Moonan Blue Flame drops Kawaii's mineral line, loses 15 workers. Kawaii's hellion drop doesn't do as much damage.
11:30 Moonnan moves to kill the rocks at his gold. Kawaii moves out with Marauder-Tank with some marines.
i still don't get it...according to liquidpedia tlo should fight against qxc, like it was. they just played on the wrong map. and now it is tlo vs vibe? so the liquidpedia bracket is wrong? or did mlg make a mistake?

Halo is one of the slower shooters around. And do not even get me started on the multitasking differences between the two.
He could kinda have an argument with CS 1.6 or something... The calibre of players at the top was insane but... Halo? Sorry no dice.
Even then i'd say BW is harder. Infact the more i think about it, way harder.
I agree with you entirely, yes.
1.6 had some insane players. I remember when fatal1ty joined a pro counter strike team and was removed because, well he just could not stop shooting his own team mates.
i was about to laugh when you brought up fatal1ty in cs until i read the rest (tehn again zet had a nasty habbit of killing his team in css )
So what? Any CS playered get's demolished in Unreal Tournament or Quake...
Not really. Tournament earnings between Counter Strike and those games are incongruent.
I don't think so.
In UT/Quake you need perfect aiming, movement, and timing (knowing when what Item spans) to map control. Even in Team-Modes, these 1on1 skills ar most important.
While CS is completly about team play. Aiming is there of cause, too. But movement is non existent - you don't jump arount to overcome map obsticalse. And there an't many weapons thats shots you can outmove.
Bunny hopping ^^, and that's a really simplistic way to look at CS. It was way more than that. Anyone who played it competitively knows that. There was so much skill and knowledge required.
I played CS kind of competitively, played against a lot of top teams..and the hardest thing was trying not to get flashed by their perfect flashes..swear I was just blind the entire time.
were you playing source or 1.6?
1.5 and 1.6, my team was never anything great but we did have the chance to play against teams like 3D/CoL/x6/EG/etc when they were in their prime.

yeah your right I remember that. It was hard whipping around 180 degrees so that you were you one stage less than full blind. And then back again.

You want to see him win or play creative and lose first round of open bracked in the future? ;o)

If we're talking pure mechanics I agree with you but Halo has a teamwork aspect in-game that Starcraft does not. We're comparing apples to oranges. Halo is easier to play individual than BW, but that's not where the skill ceiling is.

ah ok. you think not getting blind by 1.6 flashes were bad try source. Even if you 180'd or ran away from it you still became full flashed :S

12:40 Moonan floats his 3rd CC to the mini-island thing in the corner instead of his gold.
Kawaii is roaming the middle. Loads everything up. It passes by a Viking but unloads before the medivac dies. Kawaii is now sieged in Moonan's main. OC is forced to lift. EgiBay researching dies. Engagement.
Where is the Nick and Sean Plott combination? I think everyone wants to see that.
Oooh haha, that will be tragic if that doesn't happen at least once... come on MLG, make it happen They won't be together casting an event too often, I imagine. And I hate day9 but I'd love to see Tasteless with his brother haha.
