Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

Sorry no dice. Even then i'd say BW is harder. Infact the more i think about it, way harder. I agree with you entirely, yes. 1.6 had some insane players. I remember when fatal1ty joined a pro counter strike team and was removed because, well he just could not stop shooting his own team mates. i was about to laugh when you brought up fatal1ty in cs until i read the rest (tehn again zet had a nasty habbit of killing his team in css ) So what? Any CS playered get's demolished in Unreal Tournament or Quake... Not really. Tournament earnings between Counter Strike and those games are incongruent. I don't think so. In UT/Quake you need perfect aiming, movement, and timing (knowing when what Item spans) to map control. Even in Team-Modes, these 1on1 skills ar most important. While CS is completly about team play. Aiming is there of cause, too. But movement is non existent - you don't jump arount to overcome map obsticalse. And there an't many weapons thats shots you can outmove. Bunny hopping ^^, and that's a really simplistic way to look at CS. It was way more than that. Anyone who played it competitively knows that. There was so much skill and knowledge required.
I played CS kind of competitively, played against a lot of top teams..and the hardest thing was trying not to get flashed by their perfect flashes..swear I was just blind the entire time.

There isnt a code S spot for winning this MLG since the code S spots are already determined so the code S spot goes to winning the next MLG.

the loser brackets are simply terrible =/.
we have great players like thorzain, july, and mc on the bottom half while the top half has some pretty bad players in comparison.
ret/slush/sheth/tyler etc are pretty good but nowhere near as good as the above.

There is no Code S seed for this MLG. what do you mean of cource theres a Code S and code A seeds for this and the other 2 MLG's this year? Not for this one. This one only has 3 Code A seeds, afaik. Correct. Next MLG will have a Code S spot to the winner. Foreigner or not.

I doubt he will. He's had his time in Korea and I don't think it was good for him. He probably improved as a player, but 1 difficult tournament per month means doing badly can ruin your confidence.

Coincidentally (I swear), I rode back in the same elevator as them. It was fucking awesome. Did you... did you touch them? I shook their hands, spoke broken English to them, took pictures with them (although July was too tired to, unfortunately... but he said "tomorrow many pictures"), etc. They're ridiculously nice, and every interview they have they say that they're impressed at how passionate we are about they're playing in MLG ^^ MMA and Losira especially. They smile so much You should make a blog post with those pics
I will I have a ton from yesterday and today (with Day[9], Tasteless, Artosis, the Koreans, other players, etc.) and I want to get more tomorrow! I'll post them all in one blog post... which will surely fade away down the blog post list in a good hour or two... but it'll be worth it I suppose ^^

I understand that the scene is not as developed as Starcraft, and personally it is not really my thing, but the guys who play it are really committed and passionate, and the MLG crew put on a great show on the Halo stage.
I'ts ok to not like Halo, but don't hate on it because you think Starcraft is better. I don't hate Halo at all. I think it's awesome they can play professionally and people watch. But don't come in here and start spouting some nonsense like Halo requiring BW skill when they play on an Xbox controller with auto aim.
edit: not you specifically, just in general.

I have to say. For a guy who is known for being creative. In Z, TLO's opening is ALWAYS the same. Hellions into a tank timing. Every game. He even said it himself lol.
