Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

Indeed. You can't really compare below-the-best foreigners to the best Koreans. That comparison doesn't even make sense. IdrA, Naniwa, Thorzain - they're the real deal when it comes to foreigner pros and it'll be interesting to see how they do when the deciding games come. Too bad more top foreigners, esp. Europeans, didn't attend this MLG. But I think we'll have a good sampling by the end of the tournament. This is not the best Koreans either. No Nestea, MVP, Bomber or MKP. well... it kinda is. its iffy who is the best koreans still. these guys won their spots here by beating their korean counterparts. (i wouldn't disagree in opinion that your picks might be better, especially i think nestea is clearly sick top level korean) but these guys are still basically top koreans youre wrong travis
only MMA and MC are top level of those that came
MVP, NesTea, Bomber even sC, all still in KR an clearly better than moon, july and losira

That Gretorp sign is the funniest thing I've seen all MLG.

It's ironic - most of the very high level WC3 pros - Grubby, Lyn, etc - are not doing all that great. Many of the lesser known WC3 players are doing amazing. Like others have said, it really doesn't matter too much what game you played before SC2. Yea but isnt that the same with ex BW players also? I think its safe to say that the skills required for SC2 are different. No, none of the best BW pros have switched yet. I meant of the ones that have switched, like the best zerg Nestea compared to others even of his age.

They're definitely high, high level Koreans. But I'd pick Nestea, Bomber, July, MC, MVP if you were wanting top 5 Koreans.
But these are most of the best NA/EU players, only really White Ra/Dimaga/Sen missing and they don't exactly destroy the EU players who are here so we can definitely call these top level foreigners.

Hope MC remembers to upgrade his units vs thorzain

I see that fenix, thorzain, july, and major made it out of the open brackets - and got seeded into pools as a result? When you lose in the open bracket you drop to the losers bracket? And then the final 8 in the lower bracket play #s 5-8 of the upper bracket? Am I on a roll? http://i.imgur.com/HQeEJ.png
