what a time for stream to die!
but kiwi was missing about 40 minerals from a new nexus so if that army takes it down before the probes reach there, it's over.
amazing play by kiwi in the last few mins, but it's not gonna be enough. And lolz about the 2 hatches being 1 DT swing away from death

Nothing about this game has indicated that.

NASL continuing to impress.

Seriously, is it too hard to just say, before the broadcast gets going, "Oh by the way, game X didn't happen today, so don't expect it"? You know, like load up Windows Movie Maker, select the text tool, and type in "There was no Artosis vs RainBow today, but enjoy the rest of the upcoming sets"? No?
Well, how about an update during the 40 minute downtime, saying "we'll be back ASAP with KiWi vs Moon, since unfortunately Artosis couldn't play"? No? You don't post running updates for your $400,000 tournament?
Then how about mentioning it, if only briefly, in this very live report thread?
I just do not understand this. Why is this so hard? This common sense stuff that should have been there since day one. Every single goddamn day there's an outage, and a walkover, and there's not even a "crap, not again, we're sorry, hang on, we're on it".
Why is this so hard? This is pre-recorded. Just... I don't understand this at all. Just... give me a little service. Please, for the love of god. Have to agree with you. They consistently refuse, week after week, to notify in advance, if there are walkovers. Poor service.
Well look at it from their perspective. Knowing a player you root for (or in Artosis' case, watch for the sake of laughing) isn't going to play = decreased viewership. Viewership = $$$. Still, fuck you NASL.

No way Kiwikaki can win with all those sunkens still.

Yeah, ISP failure for the entire area is totally NASL's fault.

Haha that was hilarious.
Was playing a game against toss where I coincidentally was getting 4-gated while listening to the cast just as Kiwi was doing it as well.
First I thought like hey I'll just build 3 spines but then as Incontrol kept yelling like "HE BUILDS 4 SPINES, 5 SPINES, 6 SPINES, 7 SPINES!"; I just thought hey I might do that as well.
Luckily my opponent ran straight into them ^^

it doesn't matter mutas are unbelievably unstoppable. you can't possibly expand against them, you need like 3 templar per base and a bunch of cannons and an archon. At which point you can still get overrun by a roach switch... if those bases didn't stay up they wouldn't have changed anything at all.
edit:
and phoenixes don't beat them either in large numbers

jesus christ i don't care why the stream went down but i swear it always goes down at the worst time, almost making me wish i never started watching in the first place

go to go to bed. Too bad, moon played nice.
|
I blame it on moon. Too many mutas. One of those splash damage have to have hit the NASL ISP again.

Since the videos are pre-recorded, and it seems like these technical difficulties happen a lot. Possibly have someone(even 2-3 people) with a copy of the video at their house, and in the event of stream dying, they can log in from home and resume streaming. Just an idea. It's infinitely more complicated than playing a video at a CPU Show nested quote +On June 02 2011 13:18 GosuCoachingTV wrote: Our internet is down. The ISP is telling us our entire node is down. True, today they at least told us what's up in terms of the downtime so I shouldn't have gone on about that. It's just happened so many times in the past, with no explanation or ETA on when it's coming back up that I lumped it in with all the other NASL issues. Still you were right about it -- sorry. I'm just really frustrated by the service and the never-ending unannounced walkovers because the games and the casting has been really good.

As mentioned, if this was the first time then that would be fine. But they have had several issues, all similar. I have nothing against InControl personally, used to play him on ZvZ in BW, but the way this tournament is run makes me nerd rage.
