No, because they are cut off from the world.

Maybe someday they will get a satellite so that they don't rely on the internets for communication.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask but will you guys be doing an immediate rebroadcast after it's over?

I do. Problem is you have to wait until after the EU stream and then possibly a few days before they are even uploaded. Extremely slow compared to how fast GSL uploads their VODs.

Yes, because when the ISP for the entire area shuts down, it is the fault of NASL..........

Oh, right, because NASL delivers quality streaming everytime, its not like this never happened before ''cough'' EVERY SINGLE NIGHT ''cough''.

Can anyone tell me what happened with Artosis vs RainBOw ? Is the match postponed or did any of them forfeit?

I don't really care that the stream went down. Shit happens with ISP's they can't control. However, there really isn't an excuse for not informing the audience at the beginning of the broadcast that a match will not be played.

I'm so glad I waited for 40 minutes of empty screen for the stream to come back up so the casters could tell me that the game I was waiting for is not going to happen.

Seriously, is it too hard to just say, before the broadcast gets going, "Oh by the way, game X didn't happen today, so don't expect it"? You know, like load up Windows Movie Maker, select the text tool, and type in "There was no Artosis vs RainBow today, but enjoy the rest of the upcoming sets"? No?

Well, how about an update during the 40 minute downtime, saying "we'll be back ASAP with KiWi vs Moon, since unfortunately Artosis couldn't play"? No? You don't post running updates for your $400,000 tournament?

Then how about mentioning it, if only briefly, in this very live report thread?

I just do not understand this. Why is this so hard? This common sense stuff that should have been there since day one. Every single goddamn day there's an outage, and a walkover, and there's not even a "crap, not again, we're sorry, hang on, we're on it".

Why is this so hard? This is pre-recorded. Just... I don't understand this at all. Just... give me a little service. Please, for the love of god.

Have to agree with you. They consistently refuse, week after week, to notify in advance, if there are walkovers. Poor service.

Well look at it from their perspective. Knowing a player you root for (or in Artosis' case, watch for the sake of laughing) isn't going to play = decreased viewership. Viewership = $$$. Still, fuck you NASL.

Lol, that would be unthinkable in any other major sport. Also I refuse to believe that pissing off their viewers = more viewership in the long run.

Because their stream died we should pay them to buy their VODs?

Not saying it's not worth it, or blaming them on the ISP issue. But this is really not a good time to promote their paid service....

Yeah, ISP failure for the entire area is totally NASL's fault.

As mentioned, if this was the first time then that would be fine. But they have had several issues, all similar. I have nothing against InControl personally, used to play him on ZvZ in BW, but the way this tournament is run makes me nerd rage.

Again, what does this problem happening RIGHT now have anything to do with how NASL is run. Other issues that have happened sure, but this one is completely out of their control.

Stream going down isn't the same as the ISP for the entire area going out.

There goes the stream again. The NASL would be such an embarrassment if this was their fault, which it is not.

I was pretty amazed at how poorly Grubby responded to Morrow's ling/bane composition in the mid game. He tried to simply brute force through it with low sentry count and tons of zealot/stalker. I'm sorry man, this is not the right way to play...

agreed, thats like telling a sports fan to just DVR their favorite game/team instead of watching it live, it's just not the same.
