How is that the worst map for zerg? lmao. Cause Zerg love to complain even though the evidence contradicts it usually. Crossfire has so many paths to counterattack.
that map is the worst of the mappool just because the pathways are so tight that you normally can't ever engage a terran army. It wasn't Nestea's fault that Bomber had absolutely no antiair in his base to defend from mutas and so got behind.

Ravens aren't really an option at all when your opponent has 35 mutas with +2 attack. Then get HSM Mutas have 3 range, if they are in range to shoot a raven they are in range to eat one.
HSM is garbage. Costs a ton to upgrade and then you have to wait forever to be able to use it because the energy requirement is ridiculous too.
That said, Raven is absolutely a great idea, especially on maps with tiny chokes. If the opponent has like 30 Mutas then you'll need some Thors to protect it obviously. It's great for creep tumours too.

MMA and Ganzi too

NesTea is too beastly. He's playing Zerg the way it's meant to be played.
After seeing all those spines protecting his ramp in the first game, I could just imagine being one of those marines being sent out to clear the path. Insta-death. Not a good feeling for sure.
What do you expect with over 100 drones?
The second game wasn't as good. It seemed like Bomber lost his focus/ was thinking too much about the previous game or something but kinda let it slip by. He kept throwing small patches of units at NesTea's army and got thinned out pretty easily.
Like I said, NesTea's a beast and I don't know who could take him down now. Maybe a sC or MKP rematch would be awesome for the finals.

Exciting =/= Close. Not all the time.
Otherwise Revival vs. Ensnare would be considered one of the best games in GSL history.
Did you not see all of the insane shit that Nestea just pulled? Against one of the best Terrans in the world? In a matchup that many would consider most of what he did impossible to win with?
I mean seriously, when was the last time you saw someone have >100 workers AND mass Ultralisks (same thing as Carriers or *mass* Thor tbh) and win the game???
|
NesTea played spectacularly but people need to recognise that he also played very riskily at some points, especially game one which Bomber nearly came back from despite missing the earlier opportunity to punish NesTea.
Game 2 Bomber just didn't play all that fantastically, at least by the high standards we have for him.
NesTea is obviously the favourite in the tournament now but it's not like he just showed himself to be unbeatable.

He means poor MKP because he thinks that a MKP vs. Nestea final would result in MKP getting roflstomped (and thus we'd see him facedown on his keyboard and break everyone's hearts)

Ugh, stop spreading this myth. The stats clearly favor zerg in this map. Its bad vs Protoss because of FFs but thats it. Even then MorroW beat MC on that map. July beat Huk on this map also. It doesn't matter how many reasons you might think why it is bad for zerg if you don't have data to back it up with.

In Broodwar the Terran Drophsip was slower than Scourge which was an Anti-Air Baneling and only 2 Scourges (= 1 Larvae) killed an entire dropship. Still every terran is dropping the Zerg.
Why post? You didn't make a point at all or disprove my point.

There's cuurently no Terran in the world who can beat a perfectly playing NesTea. No MKP. No ThorZain. No MVP. No TotalBiscuit.

man ist so sad to read this thread. 6 out of 10 comments are bitching / whining / complaining about whatever. you guys are ridicoulous....

Guys mc is still in gsl. So if he goes against nestea nestea is done for. Remember what happened to july?

Do they like losing because of some random baneling mine? Genius idea, make a raven when there are 29 mutas out on the field. Genius idea, then dont build it and lose your whole army to a few banelings. His point was with 29 mutas on the field, building a raven and not building a raven is pretty much the same thing. How are you going to stop the mutas from simply going in and sniping the raven? If we are talking about a raven that is following the marine army, then there is no way the mutas can fly in and snipe the raven before the marines deal more damage to the mutalisks. Why you ask? The answer is pdd.
If we are talking about a lone raven that was rallied across the map to scout for baneling mines, that gets picked off, then thats a different thing, as that is not how to use them.

'Cause most of the times when some good guy gets beaten by someone else people just say yes for the sake of it. Not the BEST TvTs i've seen but they were pretty good. I felt like i was watching two very good Terrans dueling it out.

The terrain definetly favours colossus/HT and tanks. Evidence > your opinion. There is no evidence that the map is anti-zerg, and there is evidence that it is not.

Is not bronze analysis, its true. Ravens are just perfect against strong mutas. Its just more difficult to micro and more risky than pumping marine.

So because Ganzi took down Mvp you think he's all of a sudden one of the favorites to take down nestea and possibly the tournament? TL is awesome

You can plant sooo many and make Terran have nightmares. Yep he did the same versus sC, it's basically you have no other way than to walk over them =P. Yeah people freak out at all the ways Terran can abuse those chokes, but Zerg can do it too. Except that its countered by a single unit in your comp. The good thing is that you are very unlikely to get it until you lose half your marines to a baneling mine ;> It's super hard to keep a raven alive with a hunting flock of mutas. Plus no terran wants to put a tech lab on their starport just for a raven. They need it producing medivacs and vikings. Exactly you just have to constantly scan while moving forward. I think Thorzain vs Nestea in TSL was an excelent example. I think that was the MU, he pretty much just constantly scanned and caught every landmine.
No I believe that was Thorzain vs Fruitdealer on Terminus
