I will respectfully disagree, it's not like there's any matches between two bad players, for the most part we should hopefully just see better players playing well to beat lesser opponents. As long as no one plays down to their opponents level we might still see some decent stuff.

Well with 64 players even if you seed them from 1-64, you're bound to come across some notable matches this early. If you think about it, MVP/MMA and Nestea/Bomber still have a chance to meet at the finals.
And if all goes according to plan (ie MKP doesn't screw up again) we could get a MVP/MMA vs MKP, Alicia vs Nestea/Bomber semis which isn't too bad.

August's 1 rax gasless expand into 1-1-1...my preferred build in large maps TvT...I used to go 1 rax expand into mass bio but it's less versatile IMO
With 1 rax FE --> 1/1/1 you CAN hold cloak banshee and siege pushes, since your tech is only slightly delayed compared to the normal 1/1/1.

I think what they meant was that he was being too aggressive. If he waited for reinforcements he would have been more able to overwhelm August more effectively.

You use the S key (stop) and your marines will automatically shoot the closest attacking enemy unit. Then you right click them slightly back and hit S again.

When running away, you use right click and S. There's really no big reason to use hold position instead of stop. You can also use A-move.
When running towards them, you use A-move and right click so that the units in the back continue to advance forward.
I find using A-move for stutter stepping easier, since you need to click an extra time. It's easier to keep rhythm when you have more increments (A-move stutter step needs an extra button every stutter step over using S). I have it more or less perfected when doing it this way, but I can't do it perfectly using S.

Don't think it's a matter of time. The studio is usually filled with about 15-20 people at least on average. (seems also to be mostly foreigners).

Zenio would have lost if Choya layed down one useful FF. Every single one he dropped left the roaches in range of his sentries or the pack of stalkers he moved in later. This is a major problem I see in the lesser protoss opponents I face in that they just throw down FF's that don't actually split my army and I just attack move and they just wasted 16 supply on useless FF's

Zenio made way too many lings in response to that push, so it wasn't nearly as bad for Choya as it could've been.

Zenio played the best with what he had imo. That was not indecisiveness, Zenio was baiting the forcefields and only engaged when Choya's sentries were in front which allowed him to snipe the sentries.

He was definitely over-microing... He kept running the roaches past the stalkers to finish off the low hp stalkers.

I am a Terran player so I may be wrong, but I've watched alot of replay and stream to notice that. Blink stalkers of 2 bases can kill 80% of Zerg unless the Zerg has 2-3 spine crawler.
You can't have infestor in time to a well-timed blink stalkers attack. Zerg has to defend it with Roach, lings only.

Cutesy build from Choya, I liked the Zealot warp in to deny the third. DT follow up into a blink timing was nice, even if the DT's are nullified you can always make archons later if you want.
Still a bit shaky at times, but he didn't play that one too badly.

That was the only good thing about the game though. Everything else just looked so sloppy from both players.

I totally agree... because that's telling as to how bad the macro of that specific Zerg player is. Not really sure what's up with Zenio, he kept letting Choya do a ton of damage to him, and almost seems to have missed the last few months of metagame shifts going on in ZvP (roach/hydra, going pure roach vs. blink stalkers?). That match was just painful to watch

Im still getting surprised of how different gateway units look. Some times against zerg it looks like the gateway units on their own just do nothing. Pew pew stalkers doing nothing. But this game with Zenio and Choya it felt the other way around. They looked very strong. Its so weird since neither player had any stat upgrade advantages.

Really nice build from Choya. Maybe becoming a coach did help him after all as he seems to have a really good understanding of how the match-up works.

Wolf is actually right man. especially against blink stalkers, focusing each stalker 1 by 1 is not the best. unless you have just the right amount of roaches to kill a stalker in 1 volley, you will either way overkill each stalker which wastes roach shots, or you wont kill it and the stalker blinks back.
And even if theres an observer, burrowing increases the roach regen.

What the hell are you talking about lol. This isn't about race whinning its more about macro mechanics which can make toss produce units that are stronger just as fast if not faster than zerg can. I could care less about choya or zenio since they have 0% chance of winning this tournament just something I noticed with all this 6-gating going on vs zerg lately.

What killed Zenio in Game 2 was where he chose to engage where he could have easily been forcefielded.
Game 3, he lost way too many drones when Choya forced him to build an army by threatening a 6/7 gate and after the DT harassment. (he was 20 drones down).
Zenio could have held I think, though, if he had got a couple more hydras and not lost too many drones to that DT harassment. It was strange that he burrowed one group of drones at the main but not the other group.

I'm wondering if Zergs should rush to infestor when they scout twilight (with roaches obviously).
I think there is plenty of time to do it and it would destroy these 2 base blink pushes which still seem pretty popular and effective.

I don't think Choya's understanding has really been in question too much, he's always been let down by sloppy unit control/mechanics far more than he has been by builds (no matter how abusive said builds might have been).

Yes. Those were not Line's victories, those were Jinro's losses. I think choya could beat Line much the same way he beat Zenio who is overall a much better Zerg player.

People like him don't understand how this game works. Expanding is a long term investment, having just built a hatchery and barely mined from it means your weak not that you have an advantage because 'herpderp 3 base vs 2 base'. They would whine if someone built 8 straight hatcherys with 14 drones and claim X race is overpowered cause they win 1 base vs 8.

Eh, it happens. Bo3s don't necessarily prove a lot. I mean, it's hard to be so much better than someone that it's impossible for them to get lucky and take two games off of you, especially if you have an off day. Zenio might be better than Choya in general, but Choya is still (obviously) good enough to beat Zenio if he makes mistakes. If they played fifty times on a balanced map, then hopefully the "better player" would pull ahead, but a Bo3 is pretty short overall.
I'm not saying it's a bad tournament format or that Choya didn't deserve his win or anything, I just mean that you can't really make a lot of judgments based on one short series.

Another problem I see is that Moletrap doesn't really respond to his co-casters when they make a joke. More often than not, he'll follow it up with:
"--Right. So anyway..."
But these are things that I think are fixable and overall he did really well.

People are so confusing when judging protoss play in a pvz. It's like:
-anything before wg tech (cannons, 2gate zealot): LOL CHEESE
-anything off 1base (4gate, stargate, dt): LOL ALL IN
-any sort of timing push off 2base: lol all in, can't play macro game?
-anything that extends beyond 2 bases: turtle toss, just loldeathballnoskill
...?
Seriously, choya played very well game 3, and even game 2 with his fake 3rd nexus (whether that was intentional or not). Give him credit.

No idea, it hasn't been announced yet. Tastosis will be gone for MLG for a bit, too, so I'd imagine that they have someone lined up to cast with Wolf, but haven't heard anything yet.
