Perhaps he's only so strong when he has ample time to prepare for a certain opponent?
On the other hand Naniwa has been exceptionally consistent. Although I might not put ThorZain as an underdog against HasuObs, I'd say Naniwa would have to be the tournament favorite here.
Also, Thorzain's TvP has been completely exposed in his matches vs Tyler & MC. On top of that Naniwa probably has one of the best PvT in the world, he'll come up with anti-thorzain builds... Only way for Thorzain to win is to out-prepare Naniwa.

The european terrans are most definitely the best in the foreign world, but korean terrans would probably wreck them. I don't think Thorzain could touch MVP/Bomber/MKP. But with some time to prepare he could IMO take on any other terran, korean or not.

I agree theres no way Thorzain is an underdog even against Naniwa. The thing that's so difficult to comprehend is that ThorZain doesn't play at nearly the same level without proper preparation. Look for example at his games in The Gathering and the Rakaka tournament http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/The_Road_to_Korea Thorzain off-raced and stuff in the rakaka tournament, I don't think he's interested in going to Korea
He only off-raced after he was already effectively out of the tournament.

Err I'm confused. Don't you need to win 4 games to win a bo7?

Its true naniwa if he wins has a beastly pvp and hasuobs has a fairly ok pvp that has kinda gone downhill since the KA change (he was a templar based player), but i think since this is tsl and there is plenty of time to prepare throzain has the advanatage over what protoss he faces, no matter what happens though you can be guarenteed to see some very skilled games.

hehe 2bad its not a z in final so he could practice TvZ for a week or so and be awesome in that matchup also )

Imo thorzain is going to win some lan tournament in the near future. It's not like his series preparation/builds are the sole reason he's doing well, his micro/macro/reactions/game sense is just top notch in each and every one of his TSL games.

Thorzain beat mc who is considered the best if not best than second to mvp. I'm pretty sure he could take games off of both of those players

That must be why he crushed Kas and lost to Polt!

He is like those guys that "imo" thought Draco would win against iloveoov, can't help the helpless.

I think this TSL will do good for Thorzain as a player. First he practiced for a strong zerg, then 2 strong protoss, then a terran. All that practice will elevate his standard play in all those matchup. I have faith in this kid's future
