"Zergs need to start exploring other options."

??

He thinks because a drop can not do as much damage as what you invested in it, it is not viable. Completely forgetting the potential damage it can do, the way it effects your opponent and his positioning/investment into making static defence along with many other things.

I wished some of these guys played TvZ in brood war. Half your drops got sniped by scourge. But you had to keep doing it anyway because of the potential damage it could do and that was your reasoning behind it.

Roach hydra drops have nowhere near the potential of a brood war drop. I've seen so many tvzs in brood war where zerg lost because of like 2 drops. MM can do like infinity damage to zerg and considering ur in the guys base u can just run around dodging lurker spines and snipe stuff etc. Definitely can't compare the two.

You don't have to pick Roach or Hydra's though. Baneling drops are extremely effective against protoss. Especially in their mineral line, i know that's relaying on your opponent to mess up and not move his probes correctly but at least it keeps them honest. I just think too many Zergs don't use what they have in their utility unless it's the flavour of the month. Until recently, the nydus wasn't used at all which is just shameful imo. Yes it can cost money, yes it can fail. But when it works... The potential damage it can do and how much you can catch your opponent out of position is amazing. Spanishiwa is showing that to great effect right now and a lot of Zergs are trying to use it more now, but until then Zergs would just ' It's too expensive, if it doesn't work i've invested too much minerals and gas into it.' Meanwhile they were quite happy to sit on their 200/200 3k minerals Roach Hydra combo. Being a broodwar player myself i just find it baffling when they've not only made them better, you can make more than 1 now and yet are used less :p.

IdrA's approach to drops is very good for Zerg imo. When it looks like you've done all the damage you can with minimal loses. Pick them back up and pull out with your hydras. Don't let them just die like so many Zerg do. It's new though, people are still learning how to utilise it properly, along with nydus and other things. And when this game develops people will realise that actually, the game is pretty fucking good and not that imbalanced at all.

I would love to see Reaver-esque Infester drops one day, that would be the sickest thing ever .

After the bunker discussion in yesterdays SotG, I think Gretorp is that gullible :p

Inc: Well now the return on bunkers is only 75%...and I think this is game changing. Whole terran builds depend on this. It's gonna totally alter the way everyone plays. Gretorp whaddya think?

Gretorp: Well I dunno...I don't think it's as bad as that. I mean it's only really used in TvZ *continues talking for ages*

*Inc makes horrified faces while Nony laughs*

Gretorp: -I mean it's only 25 minerals difference, I really think it's not as big a deal as you thi-wait are you joking? Why are you making faces?

such an awkward rule.. I know its NASL but seriously there is no reason for 2 EU or 2 KR players to both play on NA server. It just makes for worse games.

Most likely he lost this match, or he wouldn't be streaming while its on. That or hes trying to be a badass.

Wait what? This doesn't make sense... Why would he not stream if he won? Not everyone needs to stroke their own ego lol

Think about it, Artosis hasnt won a game yet in Nasl, if he got raped again he most likely isn't going to watch his own games. If he happens to win, the more likely scenario is he will watch his games, read forums, and see what people say.

yeah seems current Korean ZvP is a lot of July-esque timing aggression, but Moon is sticking with Roach/Hydra/Corrupter

guess we'll see how that works out as the game progresses

NASL really needs to figure out what is causing their lag issues. they have it fixed sometimes, but it keeps popping back up.

After visualizing iNcontroL and Gretorp casting while wearing monocles and top hats, yes.

o.O now this is what I call constructive criticism of NASL.

Bah, I come back from getting food and poor Artosis is getting swarmed

Uhh... seriously? Why was Artosis invited? Because of who he is?

He's playing pretty horribly compared to uninvited players and it's obviously not nerves seeing as he has plenty of tournament experience.

Fast burrow and claws from moon, I think that's the best ZvP build at the moment.

from a both players and spectators perspective,I find it pretty stupid that the only reliable way for zerg to win the matchup(or seemingly so) is do the equivalent of a 6 gate, which is but one of many options for a protoss to win the game. What the morrow vs kiwi series has shown us though is that nydus/drops/agressive play is NOT the end all answer to beat protoss, and against a high end protoss like kiwi drops are fairly easy to defend and from my view not very cost effective.

Well, it's the NA league, so although a bit rigid, it's understandable. Also, I'm assuming it has probably something to do with the production of the show and potential lag forthe casters/observers.

Korean may not own white dudes but Moon has always had a knack for it :D

Well, if they're both on the NA server, that could explain some of those missed forcefields, although he should have prepared for it.

Woah, audio just exploded for a minute there.

the first season wasnt 100% about your playing ability. I know they 'hyped' THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD, but realistically there is no reason for your first season to not include some famous players that tons of fans will want to tune in and see. Next season artosis etc. can try and qualify. Stop complaining, Artosis is GOD status in SC community.
