Normally denying the scout that early really doesn't mean much but some pros do do it | ||

This, and pros have much, much quicker reaction time to mineral walk out of the surround and make you look like a fool for even trying it :p | ||

It takes less than a second, so a very negligible mining time loss. I highly doubt it's more than what a scouting worker is worth. However the mineral walkout is a good point from the other comments, if you have good reaction time. However I still think it's worth trying. | ||
