...If IdrA truly thinks Zerg is so underpowered, he should just switch races. And yeah, so it'll take some time to be as good with Terran or Protoss as he is with Zerg but who cares? Let's say Starcraft 2 lasts for 9 more years... I think the down time will pay for itself in the long run. And that way, he won't have to throw games away and travel for nothing. :7

The mechanics, worker control, army composition, position, macro, is all ten times harder as Zerg. If you screw up one of them, a top Protoss will roll you. It's not just Zerg. In almost every matchup one big mistake can decide things. That's just how SC2 is. I think only TvT has the biggest leeway when it comes to mistakes. This is probably why many call it the best matchup in SC2. To give some examples One missed forcefield could mean game over. One tank unsieging could mean game over etc. etc. I don't see why people all of a sudden lump everything as a "oh look how UP zerg is coz they made a mistake and lost". This is also why some BW coaches in Korea way back when said SC2 is too fast. Mistakes just get you crushed.

It makes me so sad that BlizzCon is so far from Toronto There's so many people in the StarCraft scene who I want to meet so badly.

This happens to me so many times on ladder...try my ass of for minute advantages, get in a better position, play the game of my life, then lose to a Protoss because my attention lapsed for one second and he could capitalize. It's so discouraging i basically just don't ladder for an hour or two, if not leave the game for the rest of the day. Keep I'm mind I'm a noob who plays the game at low masters level for fun. It must be so much worse for some1 that actually does this for a living Inc offraces as Z all the time. And the whole "He lapses for a minute" thing is bullshit. MC could have lapsed for a minute and not attaced the Broodlords. He could've lapsed and lost his HTs. But he didn't. Thats why he won.

i hope someone can slap some sense into him and turn him into a professional who does the best he can for his team/sponsor/fan/game, not complain and give up no matter how grim the road looks.

I do understand his frustration though. The games you lose where you've completely outplayed your opponent are the worst ones to lose. It would be even worse if the player you've almost beaten is MC. He shouldn't have thrown it though, he clearly showed that in a macro game he can compete with MC so why not try and play the same game and just not make the same mistakes. MC's English has really improved and he came across as a really friendly guy. I always assumed that his overconfidence was just his competitive Starcraft persona but it makes me wonder whether the intention of his words gets a bit lost in the written interviews translated from Korean to English.
