Yeah, I was actually wondering has he actually dropped a game the whole time through the Open Brackets and perhaps the Championship pool as well?

</3 TL The whining is completely justified imo, MLG has a history of terrible streaming problems. They failed again on the first day, the other times i've seen they got their shit together for the second and subsequent days (that finals misshap the only exception) but today was even worse. There was a total of half of one series and half of a game of another seriesthat were live games streamed today. The only thing else we got was one and two thirds of another series cast via replay. This was over what 10 hours or something? To say that they failed is ignoring some important facts that they've already explained. It's not THEM, it's the ISP, which is largely out of their control. What do you want them to do? Start digging into the ground and putting in more cables for bandwidth? But don't look at it in the logical manner, no, just blindly blame them for this problem because everyone else is doing it.

Theyll be easily findable after the tourny is over wtf? they're not hard to find, click the match info button on the bracket, they're not all there yet but they're slowly being added.

The HuK vs Kiwi series they broke into 7:30 into the game and almost immediately the game lagged and HuK gave us another MLG gem with the "this is fucking ridiculous" quote. Its not MLGs fault though as far as I heard they are not getting the bandwidth they had requested. edit: On a side note the stream being on replays allowed a lot of us to fully take advantage of all the other stage-like stations they had set up and observe some pretty exciting games.
Any chance we can get a pic of the "this is fucking ridiculous" quote? Would be entertaining.

But I'm guessing qxc wins, so beating qxc and then Ret is probably one of the hardest things he could possibly have to do, both great players. Would i just be dreaming if i was hoping for the stream to be working tomorrow? We're probably going to miss 90% of the games again. I would definitely favour HuK over qxc, he's done well against qxc in the past. HuK has an 8-6 record with qxc in total, but he's on a 4-win streak and has 2-0'd him the last two times they've met.
Ret is harder to predict, though. The only time that Ret and HuK met in a tournament was at MLG Dallas in December, where Ret won 2-0. But still, that was before HuK had spent much time in Korea, and with the current state of PvZ...yeah, I'm not willing to hazard a guess for that one.

Meh. No offense to incontrol, but he was playng (imo in comparison to the likes of select, idra, sjow, kiwikaki) mediocre players to get the #6 seed. Its cool and all, and im happy for him, but before i believe that hes is a top player he needs to prove himself vs established top players (yes he isnt yet imo), i hope he can do just that day 3.
edit: perhaps not SjoW lately T_T hope fully he can prove himself once again this tourny:l

Its all fine and good when you are at the event, and im sure you had a good time.
BUT....
For the people sitting at home prepared to watch one of the most talked about events, with some of there favorite players and casters, to receive this quality of streams, it just was really bad.
I wish they were more like Assembly.

he didn't say it like that, exactly... it came on the main stage screen as "&#$%ing ridiculous..." /cut to JP

Select and Nani going 4-0, and Sjow going 3-1 (losing to Select). Could we see a 1-2-3 performance by them? dude, nani was a fuckin beast with the way he played today... as hard as it is to say this- i thought his games against tyler were brilliant ((sorry, tyler!)) i talked to sjow earlier in the day, and tried to say i enjoyed his games- but he was still obsessing over his loss to select on the main stage yesterday... i felt kinda bad, but i jus said to him, 'dude- you played on the main stage in front of the entire world- that's impressive enough!' and he says back to me, 'yeah, it's not that big a deal. it used to bother me, but now it doesn't bother me at all...' Sjow is a baller. Select is also really intimidating to me, for whatever reason- i haven't gotten the opportunity to talk to him yet, but i don't rightly know what i'd even say to him... 'good games, dude! how does it feel to be dominating MLG again?' something tells me that would come out sounding sarcastic to him...
Dignitas is seriously bringing it this tourney. I'm gaining even more respect for that team. I was hoping to see Liquid win more matches today, but like someone already said, the tourney isn't quite over yet. =) Root and EG representing themselves really well too. iNcontrol hwaiting!

Is there a bracket for the pool play?
|
i went to bed last night after map 2 between grubby and dde lagged out. how much matches have been on stream after this? also, does someone know, why they arent replaying day 2 on the stream at the moment?

you don't need a bracket- you just need to understand what pool play is... they each play each other to determine seeding in the champs lower bracket- winner of the group goes into champs winner bracket...
edit: at snapjaw- it might be because they only actually streamed 2 matches today... edit edit: don't worry- we saw the same matches on the main stage live that you saw on the stream... matter of fact- we didn't see grubby v dde on the main stage ((at least i never saw a resolution after they stopped the first time, i heard they moved- but i never caught up with it))

They have had these problems before, multiple times, one would think they would have the foresight to have the required infastructure or at least some sort of backup plan. It took way too long for them to even do start casting from replays. There were hours of dead air on the stream.

Maybe you had great fun at the event, but the stream watchers didn't. The first 7 hours of this event were absolute garbage. Aka; black fucking screens. We didn't get to see any good games since the replays they chose were really mediocre for the most part. I'm really surprised people can be as dense as you. I guess someone robbing you of money and not providing a service is a good thing, right? It's the last time I buy an MLG pass, unless they really fix their shit for the next venue.
I'm glad you had some fun at the venue though! I, on the other hand, turned down a Saturday of paint balling to watch MLG and ended up getting one of the worst streams ever. Watching 2 matches over a period of 8 hours was sure fun.

nani lost a game to EG.Machine, however, the replay they offer for that is only him playing drewbie where he 2 gate expands in to 2 colo push that BARELY broke drewbie, and by barely i mean 1 viking in the wrong spot.
Edit: on EG's twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/EvilGeniuses) they say machine went down 0-2 to nani
MLGs bracket says it is 2-1 for nani (http://s3.majorleaguegaming.com/2011-dallas-starcraft2-champ.html#)

Sorry, I meant for the open field play.
Like with Destiny and the like.

Looking at the CC Bracket I'm wondering why they set it up that former group members meet each other again in the same branch. It's a 4x4 matrix and could've been easily avoided.
