The problem with banshees is that they're a lot more expensive than colossi, cost 3 supply rather than 2, lack the 9 range, and got a longer build time.

One thing you could do is snipe the observer with 3 vikings and move banshees in with cloak to finish as much of the ground as possible, but it's not massable the way reactor vikings are.

I think today's matches proves that a lot of "our" players are waay out of shape, nothing else imo.

I've seen sooo many screwups today to fill up a codex, if you know what I mean, kind of things that I would've not imagined from the same players 2 months or so ago.

It seems so weird that HuK and Jinro vP seems to be their worst matchup when they have the best protoss in the world to practice with. Is it because of the communication barrier? Or Is MC just a crappy teacher?

btw do San and Anypro look extremely similar to anyone else?

Or its cause its vP? Terrans have been having a rlly bad win rate vs toss for a while now, and for Huk its PvP which is just an inherently inconsistent / volatile matchup.

Foreigners played bad today, no balance discussion needed.

Dimaga and TT1 will have to save our foreigners butts.

GO GO GO Dimaga, win the whole thing!

Jinro is my inspiration for sc2 and i really like him. Im really really bummed out now. I hope he can push through this and show some good games soon.

I wasn't too surprised by the results though. Not sure if you can just say Morrow was out of shape, seemed like MC was simply a much better player. I feel like the only foreigner that seemed "out of shape" was Jinro (I think sen's games were good and showed his skills).

HuK played pretty aggressively in at least games one and two against MVP. Or do you mean in a more general sense, besides just this tournament?

Huk's series against MVP was the exception, he lost those games because of small mistakes early on, he lost before the agression even started.

In general, yeah i think they are being too passive. If you look at Huk's PvZ for example, you see he even has trouble taking his natural a lot.

Ah okay. Yeah I agree with you that sitting back and playing passively will definitely cost them more games than they should be losing. Constant aggression, poking, and knowledge of the entire map will stop ninja expos from going up and keep opponents on the back foot. iNcontroL calls it Shark Mode, and it prevents your opponent from doing whatever the heck they want.

He didn't stop using bio though... he went that build on a map that was perfect for it ( because of the cliff at the nat ) ... and he barely won.

If you played Terran you'd understand.

I do play Terran.

I'm curious as to what IdrA has to say about the World tournament and the Korea vs. World showmatch.

Jinro built to many marines in game 2. I think the void rays from game 1 got to him.

You really only want to open up with 2 reactors if you think they are going to void ray rush or 3 gate immortal rush. Against collusus death balls its a horrible opening. Even if he opened up 3 rax with 2 tech and 1 reactor I still think he would have lost though. He would have had even less gas and his vikings were already to late.

Game 2 is pretty much what I think all protoss should do against terran. When a good protoss does that build I need a miracle to win. The timing for terran to have enough marauders medivacs and vikings in time for that push is ridiculous. When terran fast expands it is VERY hard to get the starport tech up and running while still having enough ground units for that timing by protoss.

Just seems to me like terran is at a disadvantage in the matchup because 4 gates can kill you so easily you need to be VERY careful. And even if you do fast expand it seems like with chronoboost protoss can hit that collusus timing a lot easier then terran can hit the viking timing.

Such a Troll.

And still he is right. Just get over it. Many foreigners are lacking in showing good results AND consistency.
Koreans might not be that far ahead as a lot of people think. But the gap is still there. We have no foreigner of whom you can say that he will beat the most of the koreans. Someone like Grubby for the WC3-scene is still missing.

I do play Terran.

Also huk didn't have any colossi... 3 of the same pushes in a row, and very predictable gateway builds.

So yes that works vs gateway builds.

Biomech vs Protoss, one miss-step gets all your marines killed by colossi.

Not being fast enough to shift right click spam your tanks on the colossi and stalkers will get them and your army killed to zealots.

They need absolute critical mass to be good, whereas 2-3 colossi are enough.

The M&M&M combination is still more solid, but the problem seems to be getting enough vikings out to kill off the colossi while still having the ground units, also with chargelots tanking a stupid amount of damage.

I don't think a mass biomech transition is going to be what saves TvP. Terrans will just have to play better and transition better.
