Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

Is InControl really better than any of these players? NO! 90% of these players have barely ANY winning records and any wins at big tournaments. Send players like "Sleth", "Vibe", "Cloud", even Incontrol who is overrated (Has he won ANYTHING?!) to Korea and they will LOSE to players like BitbyBit.
NASL needs to change, I have no interest in watching these lame players when players like Nada and MC have applied and were not accepted.
You need to learn some basic maths. Is the entire roster released yet? I'll give you a minute to figure that one out.
I cant say outside of drewbie and MoonGlade I know much of todays selections. Excited to see some more Zerg talent in the league.

NA a little bit overrepresented compared to their player skill. Thats is only reasonable since this is an NA league, which is probably targeted at the NA demographic. I would personally have chosen a few less Europeans to make room for more Koreans and gone a little less on popularity while choosing the latter. TheSTC or a random GSL beasts would be better picks than Moon/Ace. That's a good point. I mean, it is an NA league (and not an NA + EU league) and if anything, the split between between KR & EU should have been equal with NA getting the biggest piece of the pie (with some SEA sprinkled in there?). Something like this: NA 50% EU 20% KR 20% other 10% This way, there's no (alleged) anti-Korean agenda going on. Also, it would act somewhat like "NA vs. The World" with the players being split 50/50. You could include many Koreans, everyone would be happy, (everyone would understand), and it would still be an NA league at its core.
who would watch games by "second tier" US players? Don't you take in consideration that Europeans pay to watch games as well? I have no problems having 50% NA players if there are actually that many good players to deserve a spot. There is a US soccer league, how many watch that?

The reason we aren't seeing many Korean players is quite simple - they will wipe the floor if they invite many, and/or top Koreans to the matches. Ace and Moon are average players by Korean standards. Its not a genetic thing its a training thing - the Korean training regime is unmatched, and until the NA and EU players can match that regime, there is always going to be the skill deficit we see. I understand its supposed to be the 'North America' Starleague but if they are opening it to international players then Koreans, the top ones, should come. Also the invite process is greatly flawed in my mind, its based on user votes, and not on player accomplishments. Its gonna be an Ace v Moon finals, I definitely won't be paying for this.
Edit: Calling it now. IdrA to win whole Season.

I'm actually enjoying the fact that Vibe is in this. I enjoy watching him play and I try and watch him over a lot of Zerg players that stream and are featured. I hope he does well, upsets some people so I can enjoy some QQ from the haters.

Where did you hear that the invites were based on user votes?
And why doesn't everyone just wait for all the invites to get announced before we decide whether or not NASL's gonna be the worst tournament ever?

Will this be played from the players homes? or at lan? if it will be a LAN i really hope they invite atleast 5 top Koreans.

goOdy is still missing? go get him!

I have no idea how the remaining players got in.They"re not bad actually , but this is slowly turning into a "Above Average only" Starleague.

I bet moman got in because of his NASL application video.
As he should!
Groups look awsome; will be cheering for NASL #1 winner - Artosis!

Well, if the invites continue along this road, I'll definitely watch the NASL... after 2-3 seasons when the "bad" (relatively speaking) players have been weeded out. GSL was pretty bad at the beginning, but that was because everybody was at that level since the game was brand new. The NASL has no such excuse.
|
fairly disapointed @ the invites, honestly dont think itll be worth paying for the premium ticket until, as the poster above me put it, the bad players are weeded out.

You call the players bad, I call them up and coming. Sure there are some that won't cut it but it's kind of sad when people dismiss players before they have even had a chance to prove themselves.
And the games can still be entertain even though not all players are at the very top level.

division 5 = group of death

(no player bashing intended; just commenting on mechanics)
isn't that what qualifiers are for? like it was done in the TSL. but these are intives make them as strong as possible, there will still be upsets either way. next season fresh guys qualify (I would kick out more than 16 players btw). that's how it should work.

Well, the intro video says "the greatest players the world has ever seen." So it remains to be shown whether that is really true or if the intro video is trolling us.

artosis now protoss? omg gogoogogogoog artosis and tylerrrrrrrrr.

Group is 5 is looking disgustingly good, too bad only two of them will advance to the RO 16. Although I guess it's possible a few more could make it out of the bracket playoffs as well.
Nonetheless, invites are looking great so far!
