[NASL] Players (final) - Page 81
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

It seems like only 1-16th that made it to the lan, should get a re-invite. The rest have a chance to re qualify. That would make more sense to me. Well, they're trying to get some sort of stability in there as well. Well-performing players that get third or fourth in their division of ten shouldn't really be replaced, imo. 16 is roughly a third, that seems like a solid ratio of exchange, especially since re-qualifying is pretty tough with a large open tournament to go through. But seeing you post this doesn't make me happy/hopeful for your NASL season 1 status. ![]() ![]() On March 27 2011 07:50 ExquisiteRed wrote: Here's the thing thats bugging me, everyone in this thread is complaing about the lack of koreans but in the TSL3 thread everyone is QQing about the lag they have when playing. I don't get it you can't have both, its either one or the other. If you add in a ton of Koreans you're just gonna get the same thing, everyone will talking about how you have to have a real LAN tournament to prove who's better which defeats the purpose of having them in league in the first place. You won't get a reply in here for a while, they're all busy bitching about lag and how the Koreans all got robbed in the TSL LR thread. :p

NA a little bit overrepresented compared to their player skill. Thats is only reasonable since this is an NA league, which is probably targeted at the NA demographic. I would personally have chosen a few less Europeans to make room for more Koreans and gone a little less on popularity while choosing the latter. TheSTC or a random GSL beasts would be better picks than Moon/Ace.

There are tons of koreans that aren't obviously going to be in, and quite a few forigners as well, even if im not one of them I feel as if I know a few that should be in that aren't going to, and I feel like with only 3 seasons guaranteed, only the best of the best should get to stay.

The vast majority of people want more koreans didn't realize the lag would have as big of an effect as it has displayed in TSL3, not to say that the koreans ONLY lost because of lag, play was good from their opponents and mistakes were being made by the koreans leading to their losses, but you can't look at posts made weeks ago, then have a starting realization that the lag is going to ruin any kr interaction here, and say "LOL HYPOCRITS". I dunno what to think anymore. I still want to see the best involved here which involves a decent amount of koreans, but if it means watching the koreans lose marines to zealots without charge early game, it's going to seem more like b level players than just letting bad NA players duke it out. I still stand by my original stance, I just wish this latency problem could be fixed. concerned for KR involvement in western esports

How do you figure TheSTC would be a better choice?

Are 5 players out of 50, and a mistake ON DIMAGAS PART making you that upset, and that willing to miss all of the great games that are inevitably going to be played? You could fill the final 10 spots with gold leaguers, and I'd still be more than happy to watch the majority of the games..Artosis v Kiwikaki, Catz v Ace, IDRA V TYLER?!!..are you kidding me? I could go on and on..

But with that in mind, the tournament is still going to be sick and looking forward to it.

TheSTC or a random GSL beasts would be better picks than Moon/Ace. That's a good point. I mean, it is an NA league (and not an NA + EU league) and if anything, the split between between KR & EU should have been equal with NA getting the biggest piece of the pie (with some SEA sprinkled in there?). Something like this: NA 50% EU 20% KR 20% other 10% This way, there's no (alleged) anti-Korean agenda going on. Also, it would act somewhat like "NA vs. The World" with the players being split 50/50. You could include many Koreans, everyone would be happy, (everyone would understand), and it would still be an NA league at its core. ![]()

(I don't remember their names anymore because well obviously because they didn't make a name for themselves yet - I mean today's 5 guys) get invited and not some better players. Either from Korea or not, you WILL find better players than today's announcements.
