Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

Are 5 players out of 50, and a mistake ON DIMAGAS PART making you that upset, and that willing to miss all of the great games that are inevitably going to be played? You could fill the final 10 spots with gold leaguers, and I'd still be more than happy to watch the majority of the games..Artosis v Kiwikaki, Catz v Ace, IDRA V TYLER?!!..are you kidding me? I could go on and on.. Well it is not the Dimaga thing than turns me off but rather the opaque invite process. Why should players like ... (I don't remember their names anymore because well obviously because they didn't make a name for themselves yet - I mean today's 5 guys) get invited and not some better players. Either from Korea or not, you WILL find better players than today's announcements. I understand the point you're trying to make, but it may be a little premature to deem them unworthy since the full lineup hasn't been released yet. And even though none of today's releases (except for MoonGlade) would I consider a contender to get top 2 in their division, the rest of them I'm sure will be able to at least give competitive games (except for Stalife, who I have no idea about whatsoever). Not every entry is going to be someone you look at and say, "yeah, he has a good chance of winning his group"..

The problem I have with all the complaining is. Wait until all 50 are out. Maybe once all 50 are out, Xeris will post another FAQ thread, where he will again answer 349534783 questions about why this person got in over this person, or more reasonably, why they picked these specific 50. Maybe the NASL admins see potential in Vibe & Stalife, and decided to include them as underdogs, to create a storyline, we don't really know, but give them a chance before you crucify them (both NASL and Vibe/Stalife). I for one am cheering for both ViBe and Stalife, specifically so they can prove all the naysayers wrong.

I can agree with this. The problem is, they choose to release only 5 names at a time. Since they knew doing this would get people talking about the names released, this type of debate is not only inevitable, it seems to have been encouraged.

Sooo very happy that Artosis made it :D
Now I look back at ALL the names, it looks scary and entertaining how the NASL is gonna work out
Hope to watch and stare when all these amazing players duke it out for the grand prize :D

Just because you don't know them doesn't mean that nobody knows them or that they haven't achieved anything:
mOOnGLaDe: - TLPD - gosugamers Btw, he is arguably one of the best zergs outside of Korea...
Drewbie: - TLPD - gosugamers
MoMaN: - TLPD - gosugamers
Stalife: - TLPD - gosugamers
ViBE: - TLPD - gosugamers
Conclusion:
mOOnGLaDe and Drewbie are certainly great players that do belong in the tournament, with Moonglade being among the favorites. MoMaN and Stalife are by no means unknown, have posted some results, and most likely won't be walkovers. ViBE is the only one the has had nearly no exposure, but it's always nice to have an underdog to root for.
There might be better players to choose from instead of some of the aforementioned, but first of all it's really difficult to objectively judge how good a certain player is, and in addition the 5 from today are by no means bad players.

if Korean invites end up being pretty small, let's say 5 in total, then I think their decision is going to end up being the correct one for at least the first season of NASL.
lag complaints are seriously starting to overshadow the TSL tournament and I believe the same thing would happen with NASL if a large number of Koreans were invited.

Are there any plans to reveal how you chose the 50 players? Like, maybe, some sort of criteria that the chosen players fulfilled?

Send players like "Sleth", "Vibe", "Cloud", even Incontrol who is overrated (Has he won ANYTHING?!) to Korea and they will LOSE to players like BitbyBit.
NASL needs to change, I have no interest in watching these lame players when players like Nada and MC have applied and were not accepted.
Wait until all 50 are out holy hell

I would expect them to invite popular players such as Boxer or Nada... best way to add publicity inviting two of the most famous Starcraft players of all time.

yeah well, then dont watch it bro
twill be awesome

Dude, you need to calm down. And besides "players like" Cloud beat MC in the FXopen yesterday so I don't think your statement is very accurate. And again, not everyone has even been announced yet, so just stop complaining that "blah player didn't get in" when we don't even know that yet.
