Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

while thats true (assuming you are talking american football).. its the most strategic and awesome sport IMO.. what other sport has such strategy? You cant just go in there and run the same play everytime, its a total metagame mindfuck that coaches have to deal with in the NFL, and the best coach will win the game, not the best players.. Officiating is sketchy but the game is great.

Hoping Dimaga can qualify for future seasons after his games last night!

I think it is interesting how less than half of the participants are actually from North America. But I won't hold that against the NASL, you have to take the best players around to make an entertaining Starleague.
Which I am fully confident the NASL will be.

US sports actually does tend to be more about entertainment than about 100% fairness compared to European sports. Here in Europe, something like this would be unthinkable, also because, unlike US sports, the clubs are less strongly tied to the league. If Germany and England were put into the same World Cup group instead of a drawing, it would be a huge deal for us Europeans. Thinking about it, it might really be more of a cultural thing. Anyway, like I already said, I don't even consider it that big of a deal in NASL's first season. Might be bad for some players, but it's okay. The thing is just that I would be very upset if IEM or WCG did it, though, and to a slightly smaller extent GSL and MLG. Therefore, I concluded that it should be NASL's objective to also become one of the competitions that have so much meaning behind them that nothing should be rigged for entertainment's sake. It's up to them to either pursue this strategy or to focus on providing super-exciting games and not caring about the rest. I see the differences between Europe and the US didn't really think of that, but this a regular season. With a regular season it is different than the GSL, MLG, WCG or IEM. If this was for a championship bracket it would be a poor choice, but with this mainly being to determine seeding its not a huge deal. Top 4 have a shot to make the final part, the top players should get through regardless with almost half of each group getting to the playoff part.
Don't most of the NBA's best floppers come from Europe (Vlade Divac was even in this tribute where David Stern calls him out on it, and of course there's Manu Ginobli...)? We've all had our scandals in addition to the crap like flopping that ruins sports. You're right about entertainment though.
Arguing that Artosis shouldn't be in the league is ridiculous, btw. If you didn't notice, voting counting toward a few selections, being a big community figure counts, and Artosis got a lot of votes and is also probably the best commentator. Oh, yea, he's also a good player who knows the game well. If his game isn't up to snuff, the results will speak for themselves.

As i said im sick of how i get threated .. i can take visa like NO PROBLEM , u didnt even bother to ask me or tell me about the visa , u only told me about the visa after i asked if im invited .. thats just pathetic and desgusting , when i have apply for the NASL u could have told me about the visa and by now i would already have had apply for it and take it . Romania is part of the european nations and so i would have not even 1 problem in taking the visa . Very profesional tho very... and the answer is even more profesional ..
Well, if that's true, it's quite a bummer.

I like most of the choices but I am sad that you say you choose by the players fame and didnt pick Mondragon. And this has nothing to do with TSL. He is a SC legend outside of Korea like the top BW players are in Korea.
Also, i dont like that Nigthend wasnt invited without asking him for a visa when he lives in an EU country (if its all true ofc)
I agree with all the Korean players that have been picked. Besides the things mentioned above _> very well done!

this tournament is an absolute embarrassment. the fact that trickster and supernova did not get in despite applying over some of the players that did get in is honestly just sad and pathetic, enough so to me that i might not even watch it. i can understand why you didn't invite demuslim if you weren't sure about his injury and some of the application problems, but that really begs the bigger question:
why are you even using this stupid fucking invite system? it will never cause anything but annoyance and disagreement. invite some of the players and then run an online qualifier like the tsl did and you ameliorate the possibility of having all these problems.

Jesus Christ so much fucking whining. They took the players that they think will make the best league. All choices are gonna be arguable; tester hasnt done anything worth noting since like gsl 1, and supernova hasn't proven anything either. Just having one invitational tournament would be worse, any player can have a good or a bad day; and there's no time to run a whole league to qualify for the league while they set up the actual league. If any players want to get in later they can come to the qualifiers. Until then please stop whining.

the reason that they weren't invited clearly has nothing to do with what they've "proven", because both those players in addition to a bunch of other notable koreans have certainly proven more than most of the invited players. supernova just won that fxo thing in addition to crushing everyone in code a, what more do you want from him exactly?
if you want to make the argument that tester and supernova and top and inca not receiving invites was correct, please don't bring up what they've "proven", it just makes you look silly - the players you're comparing them to that were invited have significantly less results.
i understand that they took the players that they think will make the best league, my fear is that they based that more on the player's personality, nationality, race, and sponsorship more than they based it on how they play the game.

someone say all he remember artosis is whine about a disc lose ? ... sure cause he is one of the few persons who not accept stupid reason decisions ... and
he was one of the very few players managed to qualify for GSL but ofc you forget about that ...
artosis did so much for community and he has a great skill so plz a little bit more respect for him ... damn guys ...

Looks like NASL has a good mix of players. I'm satisfied.

Yeah, winning the FXO was really impressive on Supernova's part. It is unfortunate that the scientists at NASL have not perfected a method of time travel though, cause that happened on Saturday, which is way after they finished deciding who to invite. Can't really hold that against them, can you?

You're talking about soccer right? Because the NFL is the opposite of what you just said.

But yeah I am quite sure he was talking about soccer. Simply assuming that because he is from NA and you guys are sadly quite clueless about that sport.

wtf? are u serious? it probably the best officiated sport. you can even challenge the ruling and review it on replay. There's about 6 officials from every angle to see the penalty. not like basketball where a bump is called a foul. Assuming your talking about american football. You sound like you dont even watch it.

Okay. You are right there. Personally though I have no problem with professional athletes using steroids under a Dr/trainer's supervision.
Obviously the officiating is not perfect, but you can't say with a straight face it's worse than the NBA/ any of the world soccer leagues. Ever watched a Lakers game before? If you have then you know what I'm talking about. The NFL is arguably the most competitive sports league in the world, so there must be some consistency with the officiating.

Now I am sure Xeris is very sad that he jsut couldn't put Dimaga somewhere in there, Dimaga is ripping shit up in GSL, still haven't seen his ZvP but hopefully his ZvP is good enough for San, cause after that there is no more toss in his side of the bracket.

SICK! Can't wait to watch this! :D
