That was the ouch day for TLAF-Liquid Loosing arguably it's 2 best players. Considering TLO is facing NaDa things are looking a little grim for the home team :/

Hope Ret and HayprO will deliver. I haven't watched HuK's games but Jinro didn't play bad at all, I just think nobody has really figured out a really strong counter to those early mid-game blings busts "à la July".

TSL is Nony's tournament. It may seem bad now, but it's really for the best because it means he doesn't have to eliminate any of his own teammates on his way to the finals

I like Husky's casting. Some may find him less strategically insightfull than the other casters, and this may be true. I won't make claims otherwise. He is however greater at improvization, than most other casters, and he comes up with random stuff that puts a smile on my face. Funny bones, I guess. This makes me enjoy the games even more, than just being reminded what is actually happening in the game.

Regarding GG/no GG.
For me it's like people going to church. It's fine by me if you like to do that. But don't try to force me to go as well, and don't remind me that I really should, just because You think I should.
In other words: Don't try to project your ideals unto others.

Oh, and now that I seem to have stirred the pot. What a GREAT tournament this is turning into. Awesome stream quality, graphics, casters and player pool. This is high quality entertainment. GJ by all involved in this production.

Playerwise, I'm impressed by ThorZaIn, Sen and Morrow so far, in particular.

No, you don't have to GG. Nobody says you have to say GG. But when saying GG is the absolute standard for StarCraft 2 tournaments then you better realize that you're going to be viewed as a ragequitter and bad mannered player. If you don't have a problem with that, then feel free to quit tournament games without saying anything.

And if there's an invitational, don't be surprised if you're not invited because of your bad manners. Nobody likes a sore loser.

Hmm...I was expecting to see some new topics one TL along these lines:

+ Show Spoiler +
"A thorough analysis of Banelings"

"Analysis on the true Baneling's DPS" or

"Is Baneling's AoE damage to powerful?"

But it seems that despite the uproar yesterday in this thread, people saw that Morrow just played the best he could against Jinro's strategy.

Eh? It's more like if you go to church respect the rules that apply there. If you play Tennis you shake hands after a game, if you don't it's extremely bad mannered. It's part of culture, it's not about forcing your beliefs on others.

The nice thing with Morrows strategy is that he is known to do the same build every game (i think it's 14 pool 16 hatch) and then he shows up to TSL playing very aggressive suddenly. It probably wasn't what Jinro had expected.

I really dont like PVP (who does?) but the best match so far imo was Huk vs Hasu. The way Hasu blinked all around the map , the chasing and the micro it was all awesome to watch. Really really good control from Hasu and really nice strategies from Huk put those 3 games to nr 1 in my book.
Second best match was Thorzain vs FruitDealer. Best TVZ i have seen in a long time. There were no holes that you could see in Thorzains play even tho fruitDealer tried a lot. Freaking awesome.
Rest of the matches were kinda 'meh'. TVPs were 'no rush 15' and lets meet in the middle of the map to attack each other (only one that was remotely fun was whiteRa vs Loner where Ra showed some awesome positioning). Another pretty kewl set was Jinro vs Morrow where Morrow showed why he is one of the best SC2 players in the world (who the hell switches races and after 3 months wtfpwns everyone???!?).
All in all a really strong opening in the TSL3 first weekend.
60 bucks? But it has Kerrigans Boobs in three god damn dimensions. Do you know how long i have waited for this?

When your mom say to you "Good morning" do you respond "F**c you!" ??

If your answer is yes don't read the rest.

GG is a show of respect for a fellow gamer. Just like you work hard to win a match so does you opponent. Of course there is times that your opponent don't deserve respect but that's another story. In this case MC didn't make anything that disrespected Ciara so the fact that he left the game without GG only showed that he couldn't control his own frustration.

Another thing: respect as far as I know is independent of religion or going to church so your analogy really doesn't make any sense.

GG.

wtf? Only 3 Koreans have played so far, and 2 of them won....

And both players participating in the match will experience lag.

And "R1ch's magic + Korean Skill ceiling"? what do you even mean here.

ALSO: Consider that the Non-Koreans have been preparing against the Korean player they are facing specifically for weeks, where as the Koreans (MC, BoxeR, and Fruitdealer all said this in their interviews, except BoxeR said he saw a few replays) had never heard of there opponents and never researched anything about them. But still, 2 of them won, and only one of them lost, "with lag", and without preperation.

If you include Jinro and HuK as Korean, HuK made himself to public by streaming nearly every game he played, and Hasuobs just researched him, plus it's PvP. Jinro just got outplayed, he didn't change anything up, and lost to the same thing twice (and there is a counter to the strategy MorroW used)

and?? your point? MvP won GSL feb, and then got 2-0 by allicia and 2-0 by Genius, then allicia and genius are better than whoever MvP beat in GSL feb? The reason why tournaments are actually played and people don't just compare stats and win games that way.

I never said anyone was better than anyone else, my point is just that FD isn't bad

To clarify I should say I meant Korean server when I said Korean. i.e HuK, Jinro, FD BoxeR almost....

I would like to see your arguement against FD doing bad lately, as 2-0ing Virus is SOOOOOOO impressive /s
