my honest opinion is 20 EU, 20 US/NA, 10 KR or 5 KR/5 SEA players. that would be awesome

I don't think the NASL will attract code S players in its first season, I could be wrong though!

It did attract one Code S caster! (DiggitySC is the man)

People finally need to realize that NASL is an offline event for the most part. This means you can probably participate while playing code in GSL. It depends on the scheduled times for NASL though.

MOTHERFUCKING MONDRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Even in his NASL application he has that humble mondragon additute, saying he wasn't that good in BW and it was mainly luck. Mondragon was a fucking beast from day one in BW and he was consistent until the very end. I can't wait to see him crush the SC2 scene like he did in BW.
We make signature, then defense it.

I'm loving the argument that the Koreans shouldn't be let in because they haven't been involved in the foreigner scene much. For one thing, they sort of have, lately. Dreamhack, IEM, FXOpen(i)s, etc. It's got to start somewhere. And therein lies the second point. There's a logical disconnect somewhere in denying someone the chance to be involved in the foreigner scene because they haven't been a part of the foreigner scene.

You can laugh all you will at their minute-or-less videos (the "jibberish" comment from the Nrg fellow I have never heard of was particularly classy), but this shows that they want to be part of our scene. Is it because of money? Who cares if it is? For one thing it probably isn't, not completely. I'm sure they are like any other people, and would love the chance to travel to different places and compete, perhaps gaining a ton of fans you didn't even know where there in the process. And it's not like Foreigner pro-gamers don't care about money.

I think that if the NASL organizers restricted Korean entries into the league too much, it would betray their stated goal. Namely to have the worlds best players competing. Obviously there should be some sort of restriction, so that all of the players aren't Korean (though I have my doubts that that many Koreans would even try to get in), but we need a fair few Koreans for this to be legitimate.

Sure, a Korean could end up winning the first few seasons. Or Idra could. Or Ret. Or WhiteRA. Either way, can you imagine the publicity the NASL would get in the SC2 community, or even the gaming community in general, the first time a foreigner beat a fairly known Korean? It would make it all worth it.

Yeah, I'm really excited. I hope he does good in TSL and is accepted.

All respect to Idra's zerg, but I can't believe he said he was top 3 most talented player outside korea. Idra was undoubtedly top 3 hardest worker outside korea but in terms of talent someone like Mondragon just has him beat easily...

Go mondi!

I'm excited to see more Korean vs Foreigner action!

To anyone suggesting that Koreans should not play in NASL, get your head on straight I'm pretty sure iNcontroL mentioned that GOM is or is willing to support NASL or I think Tasteless said something about that to iNcontroL. If we ban Koreans we obviously lose said support and also the respect of the Korean scene.

Assuming more Korean teams apply however NASL may be forced to only be able to pick up 2-3 players per Korean team as we should have NASL be foreigner focused. Wouldn't be shocked if some oGs applications came in soon what with the fact they've already competed in foreigner tournaments and are rooming with Team Liquid.

With Koreans applying I think the odds of Teamless players like avilo and Skew getting in are pretty slim to none seeing as the only guarantee of success is based off random ladder wins.

They will never have the best players in the world. In that case it would have to be something like 45 Koreans and we would have GSL 2. I dont see the need for 2 GSLs actually.

Let the koreans in !
We need some foreign vs Korea to bring on the Hype.

As Nimic said. we want to see a possibility of a foreigner winning the NASL by beating top korean players, instead of just a group of foreigners duking it out in a separate ladder from the koreans.

And we need pro gaming house here too !!!

Whats up with Avilo having the most votes in NASL by far? Does he have some huge stream following? If so thats news for me. I kinda doubt he is more popular than jinro, huk, idra, tlo and the likes.

If you look at how the voting process works. One could easily manipulate the results on this in their own favor. I personally have never heard of him, and I don't know how one acquires such a fan base without me seeing them. I watch most every tournament and stream, but I am only human. Let's be sure though it wasn't because his personality and awesome video application.

Seriously, if you don't let Koreans in NASL whats the point? NASL is North America Star League yet everyone is okay when EU/SEA players are invited. Makes no sense that Koreans are restricted. You can argue the Koreans teams are strong but we have NA/EU PRO teams. This should give the foreigners motivation to train just as good as Koreans to beat them. I am getting a sense reading the last 10 pages that we are scare of them and that is bad for western esports when GomTV promotes and seeds foreigners for GSL. What makes TSL3 so anticipated is that we want to see foreigners duke it out against Koreans.

Some people ought to read Nazgul's post before commenting as he presented the issue very well, though I'm not completely sold on argument for dismissing TSL 1-2 comparison

If July wins GSL final then NASL guys would be stupid if they dont give him a spot. Him and Bomber

Imagine a GSL winner playing in NASL. It would boost the tournament rank.
