"I am the best player here" IS cocky even if you are the best player. It doesn't matter. Its disrespectful and AGAIN, I'm not hating on him. I like and support him, hope to see him do well in Code A - but I just disagree that he was the best player at Assembly.

I can't imagine why you'd want to go forge vs a 1 gate proxy. I believe he did, because I can't see why he would otherwise build the forge as he can just hold a 1gate of with probes until he evens everything out.

Blizzard should first update there ladder maps with GSL/ICCUP map or whatever and then give some guidelines to tourney holders around the world.

We are all severely disappointed, and the pain runs even deeper for the same reason why it hurts to lose a basketball game and being forced to hear the cheers of the opposing team and crowd. Skilled professionals in any sport lose all the time. However, the last thing we should do is lash out at what we think are our "enemies." After a game, soccer players shake hands and even hug each other to congratulate each other on the hard-fought game that both sides played. That is exactly what happened in this best of 3 series, and I'm sure we can take after HuK's example since he would certainly find the soonest opportunity to congratulate Socke and wish him luck in the rest of the tournament. Our heroes are not infallible, but what makes them stand apart is their ability to rebound and come back the next time to prove their worth. Let's all be grateful that HuK will be representing Canada, North America, and non-Koreans in the upcoming GSL. HuK, put this loss behind you and just look forward!! TO SOCKE FANS: Congratulations! And I mean that sincerely. You have reason to celebrate, and no one should be able to dampen this victory for you. But the one thing I do ask is that in your celebration, be sensitive, courteous, and civilized so as not to incite division and anger among the gaming community. Absolute statements about HuK's character, or the character of North Americans across the board are just slightly unnecessary. But nevertheless, congrats! GG and WP to Socke!

I like both players and both of them deserve credit for how well they've done at this tournament. It was a huge all in by Socke, but that's what you do on Steppes- you either all in or you lose to an all in. Anyways, I'm mostly just curious why on earth the Assembly organizers would allow Steppes in a tournament. Its not like people dont proxy gate on every other 2 player map

Gratz Socke ! HuKBut what i find stands out the most: PvP in Europe and in Korea is on the same level on top level. So that means something. Mostly, that Koreans are overrated. HuK better luck next time !

Just letting you know, there is SC2 going on all around the world, and just 'cause you only follow mid-tier low-prizepool EU tournies doesn't mean that the guys who win those are anywhere close to Code A material (ST_Squirtle, IMLosira etc. anyone?)
