I hope it stays like that if he casts in English, I doubt it though.

I don't think he's allowed to cast in English (at least this tournament)

Since we are on the TeamLiquid page i'd expect that. I also expect more people to root for HuK obviously.

SOCKE FIGHTING!

Dude deserves to win a big tournament already. His play has always been solid as a rock.

huk losing doesnt prove he isnt the best player.. if it was like a round robin I think the name is and huk lost then.. that would mean something

Wtf is this with the Socke-hate....Huk even scoutet the proxy gate and STILL lost.
Nobody even noticed the completely missplaced cannon that didn't protect his gateway against the first zealots? If he had placed his cannon better then this already could've gone in a different direction. Also Socke reacted perfectly to the scouting while Huk seemed to go into "auto-mode" expecting a straight out 2 gate cheese.
The quick gas and core won Socke the game, he just played better.

Proxy 9 gate on steppes of war PvP. "played better".

Just joking, sad about HuK though. GL to socke i guess, still think Ret will win

He is. PvP isn't anything to base a player's skill on, Socke got lucky he had to play PvP.

Oh well.

Both players have the exact same tools. There is only skill involved,.

LOL. No really, that doesn't hold true at all. Everyone knows PvP only resolves around one strat, the only strat Socke happens to be good at.

Assuming you're right Socke is far superior to HuK. Both could only use one strategy and Socke won.

Really, are you that daft? HuK didn't lose because he was unlucky, he lost because Socke played better in this series.

He lost because PvP doesn't say anything about the player's skill.

Suppose you could play Socke in a Bo10 and odds are you'd win at least 5 games, yeah?

"best player" out of the tournament.

???

Why would you consider HuK to be the best player?? There are many players that are a couple of levels above HuK in this tournament.

He was being a smart ass because HuK said he was the best player at the tournament and would win.

Its okay that you are defending your player, but still. Stating such a thing and then losing in that fashion against a proxygate is nothing but laughable. I do like Huk and I think he's a good player, but that was well deserved. So, call me a smartass for that, but I just don't like that cocky behaviour.

cocky? its called confidence. im not as huk fanboy, but what he said in his Iview wasnt cocky, it was just him saying what was on his mind, there is a difference. it seems like a lot of u just want somebody to hate, and only get out from the Iviews/statements what u want to.

please go back and check the Iview, he didnt sound cocky to me. now, this may just be some kind of german culture (seeing a lot of germans type the same thing) and thats fair of course, but from where i stand, he was just speaking his mind.

That was not beastly play.

Well he kept his cool and dealt with HuK, even though his proxy got scouted. That's kinda good to me ^^

Even scouted proxy is hell to deal with.

who's in Code A again?

Sry dude but there are no good players in Code A. If Huk makes it out of there it will mean something. Code A is for the likes of BitByBit.Prime

Also Socke has achieved more in Europe than Huk in NA

No good players what? =/

Code A players are better than the majority of players at the Assembly. Code A is also for the likes of LosirA, SaiR, Ace and that guy in Slayers whose name I can't spell.

For everybody comparing Socke's cheese to TLO vs Morrow game 1, let me remind you that TLO was up on 3 bases that game and only lost much later on.

The way Socke played was the only way he could stand a chance against Huk.

Oh well, the better player doesn't always win.

That's why he beat him clean in game 1 and was ahead until he took a chance and expanded in game 2?

Don't be a blind hater. Socke is simply doing what it takes to win.

all you can say is that socke is having a good day, winning vs tyler and huk. They are all great players and there is no upset whatsoever who ever would have won theese games.

No... me and most other people are enjoying it as well

HuK is a great player when everything is ordinary but when it goes out of the ordinary he gets shakey ive noticed it on his stream...

as long as either Morrow or Ret win this tourney im happy... Morrow is probably more deserving IMO...

Everyone complains about Khaldor being biased about him being biased for Socke - which is understandable because he's from his country.

It's the same thing with Tastosis - Artosis did a little girl squeal when Jinro did something awesome in the MKP game (I think it was that game...)

Now all we have to do is wait for a non-German to win the tourney.
Stick a fork in those buns.

lol naruto, you can't be serious saying Naniwa and Socke are on par with huk

No? Why? Socke kicked Huk out of Assembly, out of Dreamhack. Naniwa is probably better in PvP as PvP is Huks and Sockes worst match up.

Naniwa is insane in PvT and what I saw from Huk - its just about the same level, nothing spectacular.
I saw Socke playing lots of good games vs DemusliM whereas I've never seen Huk beat DemusliM.

So you go figure, I have solid arguments to back up that those 2 are on par with huk. I don't care who he beats on ladder if it doesn't show in tourneys.

And as I already mentioned, I like huk. I support him - but that cocky behaviour he deserves to be out against a "worse player".

Not saying anymore about it. I will now enjoy watching Socke in his best match up PVZ.

The last game was great by Socke, making HuK overreact and then autowinning when huk went for a forge and placed his cannons a bit of position.
HuK is indeed a great player, but he couldn't deal with the cheese he himself almost always delivers on his stream to his korean friends.
Plus, just one thing, to all the fanboys going crazy over TLO when he pylonblocked MorroW saying it was so "ingenius and creative" when it's the easiest and almost most common strat PvZ cross positions please call Sockes cheese for genius and creative too, not lame and noobish.
